Just Plane Adventures

This is a nice little campground in a rural area about 17 miles from Moorefield. The sites are gravel, and our pull-thru was set up so it could be used as a buddy site, with the hookups in the center of the gravel pad, which sits above the surrounding grass by quite a bit. There was plenty of room for our 45' toy hauler and our HDT Freightliner. The hosts were really nice, and checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. It's a family-owned and run business, so they're out there mowing and cleaning and doing everything else that needs to be done as they reopened in the spring. There are farming activities going on all around, with cows in the field across the creek and a chicken barn on the hill above the creek. Bugs and flies are to be expected in a rural area, but the trade-off is the peace and absolute quiet! A bonus was a killdeer nest in the next site, which hatched while we were there! We are looking forward to returning in the fall to do some more genealogy research on family from this area. This property has been in the owner's family for generations, and is close to where my ancestors must have lived since there are records of them purchasing goods from a store that used to be located just a couple miles away.
The bathrooms and showers were spotless, but it was very cold (no heat in the building?) and the shower I used in the ladies side had poor water pressure - barely enough to rinse off and not enough water to keep myself warm while showering. The dressing area is small in each of the two showers, but there are hooks for your things.
T-Mobile and AT&T were unusable for data, but the wifi worked well enough to do internet research during the day and some light streaming in the evening.
