We initially booked 2 weeks at the KOA in St. Mary. Unfortunately, due to some issues they were having, they had to cancel the first week of our reservation, and they did so the night before we were supposed to check-in. I was able to book a week at this campground which is literally right across the road from the KOA. In my opinion, this campground has better views. We enjoyed our week here so much that we decided to cancel the rest of our KOA reservation and stay here the whole time.
The sites are gravel and can be slightly uneven. The hill is steep to get up to the full hookup sites. We unhooked our jeep, as recommended by the staff in the office, but we saw plenty of big Class A's coming up the hill towing. We stayed in June and it was pretty quiet. There were days we had the place almost to ourselves. At the beginning of June, there is hardly anything open around St. Mary's, including the Going to the Sun road (and grocery stores!). That means, you will need to drive over 2 hours to reach the west glacier entrance if you want to do anything in the park (and the park on this side is shut down up to Avalanche lake). Many Glacier is near the St. Mary entrance and there is a lot of wildlife in this area in the spring. There was a cafe on site that had a surprisingly large menu and many options. You could order to go or eat in.
There are TONS of ground squirrels at this campground, around the tent camping spots in the back. Our dogs loved it here to say the least. Overall, we would definitely stay here again-Great views, great restaurant, SUPER close to the park entrance, and way cheaper than the KOA.

Excited they had a spot available when we couldn't find anything else. No water or electric sites were pretty good. Site was level. Bathrooms were clean but smelled weird.

Great proximity to St.Mary entrance to Glacier NP. Wifi did not reach up to site. No ATT service (spotty at best). Laundry facility next to the dump station. Kind of smelled while waiting for laundry. Would stay again or try the KOA for internet access. Close to grocery store, gas and restaurants.

The campground is at a great location, very near the St. Mary entrance, reasonably close to Many Glacier, as well as dining options in St Mary. On the downside, the sites themselves are very small, with very little room between sites (zero privacy).

We enjoyed our stay!! Everyone was nice and the views were great. Being so close to the St Mary Glacier entrance and only 25 mins from Many Glacier was fantastic!! No road noise issues. Beware, Sites are NARROW so you don't have a ton of room to hang outside. We would still return and we enjoyed our time here.

Bathroom was pretty dirty and gross, staff kinda cold to talk to, sites too close together, a little overpriced. Would not return.

This campground has an amazing location for visiting Glacier National Park! It’s only a few minutes to the St Mary’s entrance, about a half hour drive to Many Glacier, and about 35 minutes to Two Medicine. We stayed 4 days starting 6/24 at Site 45, which was a water/electric site. The full hookup and w/e sites were very close together and in desperate need of mowing. It was pretty tight maneuvering to our spot and backing in. There was a small grassy area and some trees at our site.
The campground has a dump station, two bathhouses, a laundry mat, and a restaurant (we didn’t try it though). The bathhouses were okay. The showers were token operated-when you check in, they give you a token for each night that you’re staying for each person. The tokens are good for 6 minutes. The laundry mat has 5 small washers and 5 small dryers ($2 to wash, $2 to dry). Two of the dryers were out of order when we visited. The dryers require at least two cycles to dry your clothes.
We had good Verizon service here (probably 3 to 4 bars) and were able to FaceTime family. We had no service with GoogleFi (Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular).

We spent Sun, Mon, Tues night here with two vehicles and four adults at a tent site. The bathrooms were very clean, showers weren’t bad at all. I rarely encountered anyone while in there. We were well spaced out, but I could see where it may get to be tight quarters if it filled in more. We stay 3/10 of a mile(I think, if not, close!) from the St. Mary’s entrance. We also were pretty close to Many Glacier. Nice little area. Town had all we needed. It was an hour plus to Two Medicine and about two hours to the West Glacier entrance. Stunning rides though, so we didn’t mind. I’d absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to others. We did not see these critters, but people near the restrooms told us they saw a bull moose come through. Another person saw a mama grizzly and her cubs near by!
