We were able to book a spot for 3 days in a row here on very short notice, which is not always easy for a park right next to the entrance to Glacier in summer! You do pay premium price this time of year, so you can’t complain about their pricing. We only needed 30 amp, but ended in a 50 amp site, due to availability. Site 7 is a level, pull through, part grass, part gravel site. It might not work for some, but we were happy have easy access to the shower house and laundry room, which were right across from our site.
The showers/restrooms have key code access, but seemed to be unlocked during daylight hours. The floor looks a little rough in the shower, but the water was super hot, so the state of the floor could be overcome with a good pair of flip flops. The laundry room was tidy, with 2 washers and 2 dryers, each $3/load. They have plenty of quarters available from the office, if you run out. We couldn’t ever get connected to their free WiFi, but our phones worked well enough to keep us connected while we there.
This not the biggest or newest park, but is very well maintained and cared for. We constantly saw staff out and about on the grounds, working on things. It’s easy walking distance to all the businesses at St Mary’s, including restaurants, gift shops and the small grocery store. While there is a store, plan on buying your groceries before arriving here, as you will pay a premium for a minimal choice, example $2 for one single tomato.
Just a note about sites, sites #5 and #6 seemed to be very narrow, with not as much outdoor space, including awning. We had plenty of space at our site, but these two did not have nearly as much.

May 2024. This is a modest campground with very basic services and friendly staff. 10% cash / veteran discount. There are two sections - FHU near office with limited gravel on grassy sites with 30 and 50 amp, and rear big rig area FHU with gravel sites. We stayed in front section and wished for more gravel but otherwise fine. We came mid May - weather was cold and windy so didn't use outdoor space much. From reviews, the phone and wifi situation is sketchy and the staff advised it changes with the weather - this is true. I had two bars AT&T phones and hot spot most of the time and used the campground wifi most of the week to work. In short, best to have a plan A B C if you need internet and don't plan on solid service. Laundry $2 wash/$2 dry and restrooms in building with office near site 1, and second restroom near site 7. Pet station with grassy area but no fenced area. Get your groceries before you arrive - only store in St Mary is ridiculously expensive. Most of the restaurants and services were not open for the season but we were self sufficient and loved not having crowds. Major construction May 2024 on hwy 89 that delayed 30+ minutes - road was down to dirt/gravel for several miles but slow going was not terrible.

We decided to stay here because the weather wasn’t great and knew our solar panels wouldn’t do the trick. They gave us one of the nicer sites at the end with vegetation. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We don’t stay in full-hookup sites often, so don’t have a lot to compare. I’d say this was typical.
We were put in site 8 (30amp) and we loved because it was at the end of the row (though next to where everyone drove in) but we had a buffer of bushes. The only negative to the site is that while we were there, we got A LOT of rain. We had parked the trailer with the bumper backed up almost to where we turned into the site. That was a mistake, because after a night of continuous rain, if we stepped out the backdoor we would be stepping into a pool of water. Thanks goodness we have a front door too! If we camped here again, we would still choose this site, but would pull forward more.
They have washrooms and showers, which we didn’t use. They have wifi, that doesn’t work well but our cell phones worked great in this area, when the wifi wasn't working. The laundromat was having issues and they told us upfront. The washers worked and only one dryer worked when it felt like it. They said they had the Maytag repairman called but he was in no hurry since they were closing in a couple of weeks. They have a small DVD movie selection for $1/night rental.
Location is great! We had easy access to the Park.
Most things had shutdown in town this late in September. Also, if you need fuel . . . Fill up in Browning! We paid $5.75 for diesel . . . Ouch!! No places to eat out this time of year. No grocery stores or places to fill propane either. The only service station had a small assortment of items typical of a service station, though they had milk, a few veggies & fruit (like bell peppers, onions, apples). Thinks were getting thin since they too would be closing too with the park.
The "Going to the Sun" road was open the first full-day we were here (September 26), but then the weather moved in, they shut it down early for the season (should have stayed open until October 15.
Also, beware when traveling in from the south. Without knowing anything, when we left Browning, we drove in via Hwy 464 and not Hwy 89. Thank goodness. Hwy 89 is more hilly and has a sharp turn. A Class A motorhome didn’t make the turn and destroyed their rig and the vehicle they were towing. Everyone including the dogs had seatbelts on and were safe. I guess it stopped all traffic and because we came in via Hwy 464, less hilly we avoided it. Time difference is negligible.

This is a great location for all three entrances on the east side of the park. Two bars of Verizon and two bars of AT&T. The lady in the office was extremely accommodating when there was a little snafu with our reservation. Would highly recommend this campground, and would stay there again.

We stayed for a month while exploring the area. Very convenient for St Mary and Many Glacier entrances.
No issues with the hookups or spot for our 41 ft 5 wheel.
Has bath house and washer/dryers if needed.
Office open long hours if they are needed.
LOVED Rising Sun Pizza within walking distance.

It's not mentioned in Amenities/Facilities, but they several tent sites that are separate from the trailers. These site all have tables and are located on grass and back to the trees. A couple of them are more private so it is hard to see from the trailer sites. Not sure how many sites, I'd say at least 4 or more.
