Overall Rating

Plenty of open space where you can find a spot somewhere along the well-maintained forest roads to the south of Big Lake. One perk . . . no cell service keeps away many of the noisy ATV groups who so often seem perfectly willing to spoil the solitude.

Exact GPS 33.865204 -109.429814 Around this location are many camp sit from Tent to big rigs - we are 40 foot long Class A. Visit end of June, 2022. Mix of Rain and Sun. We had no cell service. We made nice Jeep tours, visit Alpine, Mountain top, Sunrise. Great area to walk and enjoy the wilderness. We have 1800W solar and was just en... more

Easy Access and possibly the closest boondocking to Big Lake. The entry is slightly rutted but doable for most rigs. Large rigs should stick to the open sites at the entrance, but those with high clearance can go further back into the forest. The sites as the entrance are sunny, open and perfect for Starlink.
