The roads in, and the campground roads have horrible breaks or separations at equal intervals. Must go extremely slow with an RV and also with a bike. This is similar to Fool Hollow campground but worse. Recommend biking outside the campground towards the Big Lake.
There's a Trout campground nearby which supposedly has full hookup, which would avoid having the generator trouble.
This was the coolest location we found in AZ during the heatwave. Only 80°F.
No cell service anywhere. Not much shade. 1 tree overhead.
Not near lake but can walk or bike to it.

We stayed there over busy Labor Weekend yet the experience was amazing. So peaceful and beautiful. Our site had an access to a forest which lead to a meadow and walk to a lake.

It was our first camping experience. Campground was very nice and clean. Water spigots were not working. The restrooms were clean. We enjoyed our stay there. The neighbors were very friendly and helped us with a lot of things. Our trailer was 31 ft and only the trailer for to the camp spot. We had to park our truck on the road.

Big Lake was fantastic- we rented a fishing boat and spent hours on the water, pulling out about 15 rainbow trout. The rainbow campground does not have hookups but water was nearby and the dump station was quick and easy as well. All in all, a great experience.

This is organized dry camping in northern Arizona. Water is available at multiple locations dispersed through the 156 asphalt pad campsites. Most campsites have their own picnick table and fire pit. Each loop has its own building with toilets in good working order. Though spacing varies between campsites, most have generous spacing. Here you are surrounded by flora and this results in a peaceful setting. Bears and mountain lions have been reported but none were seen. We did have a skunk wonder through every evening about the same time. There is very little noise. One of the main reasons to be here is for the fishing at nearby Big Lake. The nearby general store has some food supplies, fishing supplies and rents boats. The nearest town of any significance was about 30 miles away. A dump station is available for an additional fee. Plan on no cell service unless you have a booster. Check the weather as it rains often during Arizona monsoon season. During our visit in late august mosquitos were bothersome and the campground was perhaps half filled.
