We’ve stayed here multiple times passing thru on the rv side with various rigs. This time we didn’t need power, so we stayed on the tent side. Only one other tent camper about a quarter mile away. Evening was relaxing. Then around 10pm, 11pm and 1am a loud truck came driving thru faster than it should and drove by our site to the other campers. Stayed for a minute and drove off. At 1, it drove back past our site twice and back to the other site. We packed up at 1 and drove over to the rv side which was silent. Prices have gone up to $30 for rv sites and $15 for tent. I won’t hesitate to stay on the rv side again but probably never the tent side. Bathrooms are clean, only 1 shower. Gates are supposed to be closed at 8:30pm.

The location was good, close off I80 for our return home with our new Escape 17B travel trailer. Initially, we thought ourselves lucky to get the last available site. I’m not sure the other reviewers stayed at the same campground.
The sites are packed together, especially notable when a neighbor is using an entire bottle of starter fluid to burn meats, and your neighbor pulls in at 2:15 a.m. and leaves his stinky truck idling while he smokes and grunts and drags his fishing boat across the site. The sound of the distant trains were a welcome reprieve.
I waited half an hour for the one (quarter pay/curtained) shower stall while a family of children “supervised” by a tween screamed and roughhoused while all washed up. This included 2 boys, ages about 7 and 9 who I suggested might be a bit old to be hanging out in the women’s bathroom.
The best was when the outdoor sprinkler system came on at 4:30 a.m., completely flooding our site. Our dusty car and rig might have benefited from the soaking; our shoes and camp furniture did not. Fortunately I had packed it up somewhat, for had I not, it would have been completely soaked (see photos).
There was a broad diversity in camper rigs, with both large, fancy ones and some early-model units that seemed to be in more longer-term use.
There were some nice walking paths for the dogs, and attention was paid to bedding plants. The signage was good; I have never been so impressed with an exit sign.

We arrived about 4 pm and there were plenty of open spots. Set up and was out walking the dogs on the scenic pathways. Definitely a great find while on I-80.

Electric only sites but water fill station and dump station available. Very clean and attractive sites. No. 2 is one of a couple “pull thrus” and offers much privacy and green space. Camp host Pauline (Site 7) was very friendly and helpful. She’s a resident of Grand Island so can direct you to good services. The park is adjacent to miles of shared use paths, so biking from the park is no problem at all. Town is a short drive away. Lots of good shopping and restaurants.
We drove 15 minutes to get to the Crane Trust Nature Center, and learned a lot about the Sandhill cranes that migrate thru here and layover at the North Platt River in the early spring.
Highly recommend this campground.

One of the nicest camp host we have ever encountered. Campground is way above the quality of most campgrounds. The grounds are gorgeous. Friendly campers, beautiful grounds and only $20. Only negative is electric only, and morning road noise. You can’t see the road but you can hear it if light sleeper.

Beautiful well maintained county park with hands down the best camp host we have experienced. She met us at our site with 2 bottles of cold water. When we asked directions to a place to buy ice, they insisted on driving us. We were going to stay just one night but changed our plans and stayed two. Sites are grassy and there are lots of shady sites. Water and sewer are available but not at site. Lots of walking and biking trails and children’s play equipment.

It isn’t a large camping area and it is surrounded by plenty of trees. Nice, super-helpful hosts in Pad# 3. You just fill in an envelope and deposit your cash or check at the kiosk in the middle of the campground. There is just one shower available and it takes quarters to operate. Saw a mama turkey and her 7 half-grown chicks!
