Overall Rating
These are rustic sites where are you bringing your own water and take your garbage out when you are done. Reservations are required. To get to Foote Pond sites 74-78, from River Road, drive to the end of Cooke Dam road. You will see a sign that says “road ends“ and just beyond that two stone pillars. Make a hard right after the stone pillars. It kind of looks like a driveway for the house which is there, but it is not. Follow that road into the field and under the powerlines. Then you will see the signs for the campsite and will go back into the woods. Site 74 is particularly spacious. Site 75 says that it is a walk in, but really you just need to walk down about 10 feet to your tent spot.
Don’t be a jerk. Clean up after yourself.
