There was a sign that said “Begin National Forest”, so I assume you could camp back there, but I didn’t see signs of anyone being there. However, Coyote hill road is barely a road. Juke 4th Weekend , all campus busy. I found this free camping in national forest . Easy drive even for a Toyota Corolla, no problems. Quite a few people there, good neighbors, everyone behaving well. And, it was free . Thank you national forestry.

“Not bad a drive, nice spot for a night”

The drive up Coyote Hill itself is rough but doable in a 4x4 with high clearance

Just go slow

The site is nice! See pictures

The challenge is that is not nice enough for me to camp there for a few days and not worth the effort to get there for a single night
