Question about County Road 48 Dispersed Camping

Are there any flat areas without ruts where one can camp along County Road 48? How far from Leadville is the area? Can this area accommodate a 19ft. travel trailer? Thanks!

Yes there are several flat areas to camp right off County Road 48. We were there just last week. The road was not rotted however it was a little bit rough. We pulled our 23 foot trailer into the trees. There were other larger trailers scattered about as well. The area is only about 5 miles from Leadville

Yes! We had our 40" Prevost out there. It is a rough road just go slow.

There are tons of level sites that could fit a 19ft trailer. My 30ft trailer is very level in my site
