I know people are trying to be helpful, but if you've tried to find updates on the Florida State Park website, you'll know already that it is VERY limited. The site only says that Collier-Seminole is closed and doesn't really answer Oliphantr's question - just how much damage occurred there. Additionally, calling the number only gets you a recording that says the park is closed. Although I live in Central Florida I have not heard anything specific about Collier-Seminole SP. I found this graphic that shows the area was within the storm surge and may have sustained major flooding. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2022/09/30/hurricane-ian-damage-photos-videos/ I hope you find this helpful.

We had reservations for December 30 and received an email about a week ago saying they were canceling these. My understanding is that the park is open. But the campground is still closed. For the most up to date information, call the Florida State Park reservation number 800-326-3521. If your reservation is canceled, try some of the campgrounds in Big Cypress National Preserve, using recreation.gov. It’s dry camping and further out, but the campsites look really nice.
