“Good basic camping”

Location right off highway, so noisey during day. Much quieter at night. Had power and water at site. Dump free in campground
Site level. Some trees in powered sites, but they don't offer much protection from heat.
Decent cell coverage on Telus network.
Easy to get into. We prepaid using CCard.
Host very friendly. Came over to introduce himself.

“Nice but a bit noisy”

Overall Rating

This is a nicely kept little park with a friendly host and is close to the city of Trail. They accept cash only for the sites which are a little on the small side for our 31' fifth wheel (we had to unhook the truck) but not bad and we've been in worse. They have power (30 amp only) and water but no sewer. There is a sani dump but we didn't use it. They had recently replace some concrete around it which wasn't quite set and it also looked to be a bit un level. It's also in a rather strange location. I'm sure it would have worked if we needed to use it but we didn't.
Really the only down side is the fact that the park is very near the highway. The highway does quiet down at night but it starts up again early in the morning. This may not be a problem for early risers, we normally are not, but were when we stayed here.
The park is near a small shopping centre which could be quite handy.
Trail is a fun little town to walk around in and don't miss the new pedestrian bridge across the river!
