“Worst Park in 30+ Days Travel; Most Paid”

After reading other camping resources' glowing reviews, I booked an overnight at Blue Lakes Village RV on our epic 60-day tour of the West -- despite the high price--$105. It would be a treat because we usually don't stay in resorts or pay that much. We DO believe in getting value for our money and DID NOT receive it at Blue Lakes Village. First, it was not a resort by any sense of the word. The roads inside the park are narrow and the gravel sites small. Our 25' Class C and tow could barely fit. The sites had no picnic tables or fire rings, even if they couldn't be used. The park had no WiFi, cable TV or clear sites for satellite TV. The "facilities" were in a roughly constructed building and were 2 unisex bathrooms, 2 unisex showers with tiny stalls, and a laundry with 2 washers and 2 dryers. The beach could not be accessed. We followed directions, entered the code, and looked for the "silver box." There was no silver box. Both of us searched. Don't count on the beach. The raised bed gardens that were touted (on a side lot) had signs saying something like stay away from the plants. I forget the exact wording, but that's the idea. The garbage and recycling bins were one bag away from overflowing onto the ground. We couldn't leave our small daily bag of trash. The water cut off at 9 a.m., maybe by fluke, maybe not. The best part of the park was the large dog yard, but it was made a bit trashy by a few big dog owners who wouldn't pick up after their dogs. We will never return and DO NOT recommend the Blue Lakes Village RV Park to any travelers.

“Stay At The Narrows Instead”
Reviewed 10/9/2023
Nobody answered the phone - instructions were not concise. Just tried to stay one night but won’t ever try again. Went to The Narrows for a totally different customer service experience! Answer your phone people!!
