I did manage somehow to leave behind my camera so if you see one laying around I'd love to hear from you.... how I did it? No idea. Not a lot of shade on the overflow side but it is surrounded by hills and makes for beautiful star gazing. Would definitely start here again. 0 cell service though.

We had to get a hotel the first night because we showed up late and all the sites along the river were full. Views are incredible, you are close to the road though.

My husband and I stayed at Big Bend Campground after staying at Willow Springs Dispursed for the previous 4 nights. We decided to move from Willow Springs because the weather was really windy and we were getting killed by all the dirt! We scoped out the Big Bend campground on a Sunday night and saw that there were a couple of spots that we may fit into. Monday morning we arrived at about 9 am and we found the last spot #20 available. We were easily able to park and maneuver our 32ft fifth-wheel. The sites are gravel and this site backs up right to the Colorado River. The views are absolutely stunning of the Canyon! It is dry camping and $20/night however we paid $10 with our National Parks Senior Pass. So worth the money for this location!! There are picnic tables, fire pits, and dumpsters as well as vault toilets. There is a group camping area as well. The rangers are very visible in this campground. It was quiet and peaceful during our stay. The campground is 7 miles in on the hwy 128 but still not far at all from Arches, Canyonlands, and Moab. We did the Grandstaff hike off 128 and it was amazing!! The views are absolutely incredible during the entire hike and at the end you are rewarded with a beautiful arch (natural bridge really) - Morning Glory. We saw people repelling down the canyon at the end which was pretty cool. Also there is a wonderful paved bike/walk path that goes almost from the campground into and past Arches NP. We did not use it but saw many people on the trail each day. We have AT&T service and had little to no service here. It was extremely sporadic and sometimes you could make phone calls and sometimes not so much. Data pretty much non existent. You can get cell service though about 4 miles toward Moab on 128 and there is a beautiful little park area there if you need to do some work.

Our 30 ft travel trailer fit in a few of the spots. The campsites are gravel & pretty level.
For $20, there are vault toilets & dumpsters. Water is not provided at the individual campsites nor the campground. Rather, it’s centrally offered at the Lions Park at the intersection of US 191 & UT 128, just north of Moab.
The cell signal was too low to support the work week, even with a WeBoost.

Because of its convenient location right off the road, road noise could be heard…but there wasn’t much traffic on Hwy128, at least not in mid-November.
If planning to harvest solar, expect limited hours because of the high canyon walls.

We had site 8 which I believe to be the best spot with shade there.
Colorado River put us to sleep every night with a gorgeous moon that week.
We could have stayed longer but had a schedule.
Great location to hit Arches and Canyonlands NP from.
Moab has a lot going on also.

We loved this campground. It was a great location for hopping around to the nearby National Parks. We had a very secluded spot with a view of the Colorado River. First come first serve. Needed blocks to level but that was easy enough.

Amazing views of the canyon and the Colorado River. The campground is busy even on weekdays. We arrived around 5:00 pm on a Tuesday and were lucky to grab the last spot. Other campgrounds along the river were also full. I recommend an early arrival if possible. The campground has access to the river. We were able to hop in for a quick dip. There are a few trees that provide some shade but be prepared for full sun spots.

It was a good experience, easy to access.
There’s a famous bouldering rock across the highway. The river is right there and it’s gorgeous. Clean public restrooms. NO SERVICE, but I felt safe. 🤍
