Has anyone camped here in May? Headed north car camping for the first time in the spring and not sure what to expect for weather/road conditions at that time.

I’m sitting on bear mountain road right now 04/15/24. Thunderstorms and the place is deserted. It’s 59 degrees Fahrenheit.
