This was one of the nicest experiences I have encountered. Amazing staff. Very long pull through sites. Laundry is clean and inexpensive. Nice individual showers. To top it off- they offered the use of the courtesy car free for 2 hours- just return it with a full tank of gas. That was a surprise. Not fancy but clean and well run.

The facilities were clean and the staff was friendly— laundry room 👍🏻👍🏻. I am a solo female traveler and I felt very safe! The campground is basically a gravel parking lot so not much ambiance but I would stay again if I was passing through.

stayed from 7/3/21 - 7/10/21. The people here are very friendly and helpful. Access is very easy off the highway (a bit noisier at night, and the train is fairly close as well but can only hear the horn). The price is also very reasonable for FHU, however, the spots are very close together and not very long. Luckily they don't seem to be overly busy and mainly have stopovers for 1 night which they spread out a little. The sites are gravel with patchy grass, and as others mentioned before, the hookups can be rather far apart but was not a problem for me. The campground wifi is actually not terrible, I believe I was getting 10+ mb down and 15 mb up.
My biggest complaints are that I noticed one of the employees spraying patches of grass with something that I can only assume was a weed killer of some sort, which can obviously be detrimental for pets. Another worker also spent multiple days weedwacking the sites next to me, and also using a push mower. The problem is that there is hardly any grass and he was throwing pebbles everywhere - I eventually had to tell him to stop because they started pelting my camper and truck.
The town of Rawlins is small but has most of what you need. Highly recommend going to Medicine Bow National Forest and the snowy range drive - about 1 1/2 hours away.
Peplink - no ATT whatsoever, TMobile was ok speeds.

We camped here in mid-May 2021. We arrived during regular business hours and were met with a charming lady. We reserved online with a discount rate, and the check-in process was smooth. The staff had our check-in paperwork printed and ready for us. We selected a full-service campsite with cable. Everything worked great, and yes, the sewer connection is not very close to the water, electric, and cable connections. We had plenty of sewer hose to reach. Our site was nearly level and mostly gravel, some grass. The sites are close, but no problem if your camper or motorhome has slides. We observed campers of all sizes, even large 40'+, camping at this campground!
We travel with two dogs. One of the best amenities for us was the dog park. It is conveniently located in the campground. Cable had about 50 channels and worked well. We didn't use any other amenities available to us, including a courtesy vehicle, laundry, and mini-golf.
Camping in Rawlins is a great location! This city is where the Wyoming Frontier Prison, which was operational from 1901-1981. They offer tours, but we missed the scheduled times, so instead, we walked around the prison and up the hill behind the prison and discovered great views of the entire city! A walking trail through the city also goes through parts of the prison grounds. We enjoyed this trail, visiting the prison's graveyard along the way. Rawlins is also where you can access the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail! Downtown has a great vibe. The Union Pacific Railroad has a presence as well. All in all, the city has much to offer!

Nice park. Very friendly and helpful staff. Level site. Be sure to bring plenty of sewer hose - had to connect 3 ten-footers together to reach the sewer connection. No biggie, and it's nice the water isn't right next to the sewer! AT&T signal here is weird - goes from 4 bars down to 1 and sometimes just nothing. Rebooted 2 different iPhone 11's multiple times with the same results. Evanston had 5Ge but east of there AT&T basically went downhill. Verizon seemed to work well. Didn't really try the campground wifi but it's marketed as "premium" (but free), although they do not allow boosters / routers / repeaters / etc. attached to their network, nor do they allow streaming video. Again, no biggie and not a show stopper as almost all of you people will be passing through here and only staying one to two nights max anyway. Go visit the old state penitentiary!

Very helpful and friendly staff, the spots are pull thru, they have propane refills on the sight as well. The bathrooms are nice, hot showers, and they have a dog park as well. Another plus is that the bathrooms, showers, and laundry are open 24 hrs. Would recommend :)

Walmart is about 4 miles away and if you drive thru town watch for the deer walking around!
We would definitely stay here again.
