The road in is pretty good but you'll need to switch sides of the road every onw and then after rains. They do a good job of marking the washout areas to stay away from so you won't have any surprises.
Like the Plomosa Rd area, the ground is mostly hard packed with rock and fairly level. No massive amounts or wood will be required to level with.
Pay attention to which way the wind is blowing. If your on the down wind side of the road then expect a lot of dust coming from everyone that uses that road. People don't realize that if you keep your speed at 12MPH or less then dust impact is minimal. When you have six or seven ATV's go by at 25MPH then it gets very annoying, very quickly, so pay attention to which way the wind it blowing. If you park on the down wind side then get as far from the road as you can. You don't want to be 50ft from the road, you want to be 250ft from the road.
I parked my Class A facing east( the mountain and Palm Canyon) for great sunrise views and setting sun glow on the mountain and my awning gave me respite from the sun.
If you have an ATV then head down Kofa Queen Canyon Rd. It'll take you while to get to the end of the road but just before the end of the road, take a left down that trail. It's amazing views of the rock bluffs on both sides. You can drive your car right up to the Palm Canyon trail and look in awe at the rock bluff.
Even though you'll be well away from the highway, you may hear some slight noise from it. Sound travels so far at night in the desert.

We just loved it here - the place is magical! Not quite as "dark sky" as we would have hoped, but there were still an impressive night sky. The road in is pretty good, but you have to go slow and be careful - especially if you have a big rig or are towing a vehicle. Some of the access points have pretty high berms, but there are still lots of places to choose from. Lots of people drive fast (in ATVs and in cars/trucks), so potential for lots of blowing dust from the road. The "campsites" are fairly well defined and most have rock fire rings already built. Most people park far from others, but we had a large group pull in pretty close to us on our last night. The had several vehicles and ATVs, but they weren't too noisy. Just seemed a little odd that they would park so close to others given the amount of space there is out there (especially when there were a lot of them). Overall though, this was one of our favourite stops (so far) on a months long road trip!

Lots of fairly level areas. Even though I was about 50 yards from the road, there wasn’t much traffic. But the real draw is the views. Every direction was perfection.
Lots of cholla and very tiny cactus, so if you’ve got fur kids, watch their paws!

Given the previous review (3/16/23), I have to wonder if we are in the same place. Very few people here, very clean, very quiet. We camped pretty close to the end of Palm Canyon road, so maybe there is less pressure on the area we were in. Gotta repeat other reviewers in that the hike up the canyon to see the palm trees is worth it.
