I have stayed here a few time going north to fish, 2020, 2021 but when I stopped June of 2023 it was posted "No Overnight parking" . I then went into Wawa and checked the welcome center and found it posted the same. I ended up parking at the truck stop south of town.

We arrive about 9 and at 10 young person arrive in à pick up an turn around with noice we were à long on thé site we decide to leave i think it is not a safe place

A small camper van, and a few cars here when I stayed. A nice couple pitched a tent on the grass. Gravel road was easy to drive on in my sedan in all season tires on a dry summer day. You can definitely hear the waterfall at night, which I found very calming.

A good-size, level gravel parking lot sits across from the stunning Scenic High Falls with no signs prohibiting overnight parking. We stayed in our travel trailer while other campers pitched a tent on the grass next to their vehicle. Located a 3 km drive down a gravel road off Hwy 17, 2 km south of Wawa Ontario, the access road was quite passable despite multiple large puddles to drive through. It seems the Town supports this usage as they have supplied pit toilets in good repair and even a single, bear-proof garbage bin. The falls provides a constant white noise in the background which provides some sound privacy from other campers.
This is a popular day use area with visitors coming and going throughout our stay on a lovely warm weekend in September, 2017. A large covered picnic area on a cement pad has 6 picnic tables directly across from the falls. A short hiking trail leads up the east side of the falls where you can get a close-up view from the top. There are also multiple interpretive signs about the area’s logging and artistic history. A freshwater stream runs down the hillside 60 feet east of the toilets.Unsure if it is potable but it looked and smelled clean – we used it to wash our fresh fruits and veggies we purchased at the Valumart in Wawa.
The area is spacious enough to accommodate large RVs in the gravel parking lot and multiple tents on the grass. Not sure how busy it gets in summer however there is an overflow parking area for buses and large RVs. There is also a boat launch where you potentially go swimming. Note there is also a free 24/7 dump station in the town of Wawa at Young’s General Store.
