Bit of a drive in on a dirt road that was fairly smooth. Back-in level site with electric. Shaded with decent spacing and privacy between sites. Clean bathrooms with shower. Lovely area!

Only downside was there were a fair amount of ticks but expected in the middle of a forest.
Using my T-Mobile hotspot and an external antenna (not a booster) we were getting 3-4 bars, typically able to pull about 11 down and 2-3 up, wife and I worked while we were visiting

Don't let the 7.5-mile dirt road back to the campground change your mind. All 4 RV sites are very nice with a well-made picnic table, grille, and fire ring. Site 40 is the newest RV site and has WES. The others electric only. Our neighbors in the other sites have ranged in size from a 40' motor home, 38 ' 5th wheel to TT's our size. No worries with access with larger rigs. The bathhouse is only 3 months old at the time of this review and appears that upgrades to the facility are in progress. The only thing missing for us is no designated hiking trails but there are miles of forestry roads. The campground host Kathy & Jeff are great and make you feel welcome. I highly recommend using the Jeff sanders road from CR67 straight through to the campground at the end of the road. This is a typical FL dirt road with a few potholes and one narrow bridge. Jeff Bridges road is approx 3.5 miles from the Correction center 67 on the right.

Womack Creek Campground is deep in the managed long-leaf pine forest of Tate's Hell State Forest and lies on the banks of the Ochlockonee River. This campground has three electric sites and the remaining sites are walk-in tent sites. The electric sites will fit most sized RVs with 38 being the largest. The tent sites are mostly sized for a single large tent or two smaller ones. As mentioned, the tent sites are walk-in and you will have to park your vehicle in the parking area after unloading.
Facilities at the campground include a boat ramp, picnic pavilion, dump station, and a bath house with showers. While there is water available, the camp host does not recommend drinking it as it is slightly murky. The State clearly needs to drill a deeper well. There is no garbage service here, you will need to pack it out. We filled drinking water jugs and disposed of garbage at Carrabelle Beach Access on US-98. The bathhouse and dump station are new as of October 2020. The bathhouse is very well done. The dump station is lacking for several reasons: it is too high for low-riding trailers to be able to dump; there is no turn-around to get back out; and there is no water for flushing your tanks. We used a Blue Boy waste tote to empty our gray tank and it worked fine.
While the campground is back and away from things, there are a number of activities. The river is right there if you have a boat. If you don't have a boat, the forest is crisscrossed with forest roads. We hiked and biked all throughout the area. And Carrabelle Beach is only a 20 minute drive away if you want to get in the water and enjoy the sand.

Pros: It is set among pine trees and has a moderate amount of shrub between sites for privacy. It is right along a river and has dirt roads to hike along. The camp ground host was friendly and helpful.
Cons: 1) As mentioned in previous reviews, Google maps does NOT give accurate directions. The campground must be approached from Jeff Sanders Rd on the wide side of the river; Google takes you to the east side, and somehow expects you to drive through the river. 2) There are only 3 RV sites (luckily the place is not busy) that are all for shorter rigs--I'd guess 28ft max, and 3) the road in is bumpy and full of puddles. Recommend only for study rigs.

Just spent 3 nights here, it made a good stop between St. Augustine and Panama City.
This was one of the only campgrounds in the general area that had sites available at this time of the year (Columbus day weekend and some areas closed because they are still recovering from Hurricane Michael). Also the snowbirds are migrating making it almost impossible to find anything reasonably close to a beach. But that was OK with us since we just came from Savannah and St. Augustine and headed to Panama City.
Very laid back campground nestled among 100 foot pine tress in the middle of a state forest preserve.
Sites have picnic tables and fire pits.
The host/caretaker welcomed us shortly after we arrived, you can get water there but not potable, no dump.
If you are still reading, this is the very important part of the review.
DO NOT TRY TO FIND THIS PLACE ON GOOGLE MAPS!!!!!!
EVEN THE DIRECTIONS FROM RESERVE AMERICA HAS A FLAW..
I'll start with reserve america flaw, in the know before you go, Directions it tells you to take county road 67 from US 98. Well CR 67 is not marked from either east or west from 98. You have to go to Tallahassee St. And go North, it turns to CR 67 in a few blocks. The rest of the direction is correct.
As far as Google maps is concerned. A total PIA, wound up in the forest around 25/30 miles in the wrong direction. The campground caretaker shared more frustrating stories about people getting there, some very humerus.
See attached photo for the accurate co coordinates. I checked it and they are on the money.

From Highway 98 in Carrabelle take county road 67 north 13 miles to Rock Landing Road. (You could also use Jeff Sanders Road which is shorter but has a longer unpaved portion and includes a narrow one-lane bridge with a weight limit.) At the intersection of Jeff Sanders and Rock Landing Roads, continue left on Jeff Sanders Rd. and travel 1.6 miles. The entrance to the campground will be to the left. Please review the overall map for campsites at Tate's Hell State Forest.
