Our site (#2) is too close to #1. Our next door neighbors were fairly noisy - slamming camper and car doors - especially very early in the morning (6:00-6:30 a.m.). Other than that, this is a very well-run and friendly campground. Most lakeside sites are fairly hard to reserve...especially on weekends. The campground is very conveniently located in Fulton and close to a Walmart and other stores. Our nightly rate is 1/2 due to our lifetime senior pass.

This was a great campsite. We stayed in Mississippi on our way up to South Dakota and we didn’t expect a lot. This was a great campsite that was quiet, clean, affordable, spacious and pretty. We were lucky to get a spot right on the water and it was worth it. All sites were pretty spaced apart. The bathrooms and grounds were all so clean and the campground hosts were so nice and helpful. I believe there is laundry onsite, but it was closed due to Covid. Very easy to get into, big rig friendly... almost every camper there was 35+ feet long.
We unfortunately experienced two tornadoes watches in our 7 days there. The campground hosts were so wonderful in making sure every knew of the severe weather and made sure they knew where to go and what to do if there was a tornado. We were watching the news closely and we’re able to get out to a shelter in under 5 minutes. But the campground hosts personally went around to every persons site and knocked on their doors making sure everyone was taking shelter. A tornado touched down 6 miles away and I was still amazed that she took the time to make sure everyone was safe before getting to the shelter herself. (If you need it, there’s a tornado shelter across the street at the community college at the band hall).
Cell phone service was great - we worked all week, video calls and all. We have Verizon on our phones and had full LTE coverage. We also have a T-Mobile internet router (with booster) and had zero issues with connectivity.
There was a great paved walking/running/biking trail outside the campground that followed the river. It was good for evening walks. Also, a little secret some folks told us about... if you go to the third loop, there is a trail behind the bath house. Follow that a couple hundred yards through the trees and you will find a marina with a resultant and bar called Guys Place. It was an awesome little hangout with super amazing food for such a cheap, cheap price right on the water. We ate there twice in one week, which is not a normal thing for us to do. Nice to have a good restaurant that you can walk to.

Stayed for 4 nights here in mid-October. Our rate reflects the 50% Senior Pass discount. We had a great, large, level and paved pull thru (#46) with 50 amp and a water spigot. Our site was about as far away from the lake as you can get. However, not a big deal as there are not a great many sites with a lake view anyway. There is a dump station near the entrance. Our sitting area was up a shallow flight of steps to a large gravel area with a picnic table and fire pit. It faced the woods. Interior roads here are large and paved. There is quite a mix of sites. Some that are close to the lake are behind some other sites in many cases, making for possibly an interesting back-in to those spots. There is a long, paved walking trail which leads to a lock which we walked a couple of times. I believe it was about four miles round trip. There is also a walking trail in the woods near the lake.
A word of caution to those utilizing GPS to arrive here. DO NOT get off of Interstate 22 at exit 108 as we were directed to. That route will take you some 10 miles out of the way, on a round-about route to the campground for no good reason at all. You will also have to negotiate some tight small town streets in Fulton as well. Taking exit 104 and turning onto the access road near that exit will take you right to the campground, which is only about 2 miles off the Interstate.
This is a nice, quiet place in the woods. Water activity is readily available to those who like to fish, boat or paddle. We would camp here again.

Reserved online and site that I booked showed it was secluded on the site map, but turned out it was in a tight group of premium sites. Neighbors were noisy well after quiet time(10:00pm), but they did shut down the karaoke party at 11:00pm upon my polite request. The park was management was very understanding and accomodating of my request to relocate to a different loop for the remainder of my stay. We were able to get a much nicer spot(albeit: it wasn't a premium and we didn't get a refund of the price difference).
Positive: Very nice walking trials on the interior of the loops.
Negative: Bath houses could use some maintenance.
Overall: We would absolutely recommend this park.

Great hosts, actually drove out and gave me some ant killer when a neighboring site complained of ants. We had a great time here, like I said, the shaded lot was welcomed and did not overwork our AC. Highly recommend this park. Well kept and clean throughout and easy boat access.

There are 19 sites in this loop and they vary in size. We were able to get our 41' 5er in, no problem. There is another loop that was closed during our stay, so I don't know what they look like.
The showerhouse was clean and convenient from all of the sites. The best part, it was quiet.

We booked site 11 for 3 nights/4 days. We had never been here before, so I simply looked at the maps to pick what looked to be a good site. As it turns out site 11 is perfect, however after walking around I wouldn’t necessarily be unhappy with any of the sites (although we do prefer sites closer to the water). We stayed in our travel trailer that is 26 feet long (bumper to tongue).
The sites are all paved and appear to be flat. We didn’t use any blocks to level our camper and it was only barely off (about half an inch side to side). Most sites are spaced apart, however some are a little closer (site 10 was right up against site 11 which would make it a great share site), however all the trees and undergrowth gives most sites an actual sense of privacy. This is something we look for as opposed to being right on top of each other such as in many of the resort style camp sites.
Each site also has a large pad surrounded with large cross ties and filled in with rock. This is usually where the picnic table, fire pit and grill is located. Most are big enough to place chairs, or in our case put up a dog fence. We laid our 8x18 rug out and put the dog fence on it and there was still more room for other stuff. Some of the cross ties did look a bit old and could use replacing, and it looked like some of the pads could also use a fresh layer of rock, but all of these pads appeared to still be intact and completely useable. I did notice that some repairs had been made to some of the wood at some of the sites, particularly at our site (11).
Many of the sites didn’t appear to have room outside of the pull in and the gravel pad to set up tents. At our site (11) there was a small spot that we put up a small 2 person tent for my son and his friend. There was plenty of length in this site for our 26 foot long camper and our Pathfinder. The width however, was adequate. We pulled our camper as close to the back edge as we could get, which allowed us enough room to put a small table in front of the camper and still allow about 2 more feet out to walk back and forth on without stepping of the edge. So it was enough space, but only just barely enough in our case. If we didn’t have the table it would have been fine.
Our site (11) was “on the water” and based on what we saw of all the sites, this one was probably the most “on the water.” There are 3 small fishing piers along the campgrounds shore and one is probably less than 30 feet from the pad at site 11. Then almost right next to it is the larger, longer pier.
There is also a lighted pathway that runs from the Museum at one end of the campground to the beach in the opposite direction. While we were here only the lights at the bridge walk (closest to the museum) was light at night. The rest of the trail wasn’t lit up when we walked it (around dusk). I wonder if it was still a little early in the season for them all to be up an running.
The beach is located in the last, third loop. It is small, with some white sand and a floating border in the water. Being early April, no one was using the beach. There are a couple of hanging swings on the lighted trail Near the beach, as well as a large gazebo.
All of the bathrooms were nice and clean. In the men’s, each had a urinal, 2 stalls (1 of which was handicap accessible) and 2 showers (1 of which was also handicapped accessible). The water was hot and they used knobs that allowed me to turn the water on and then turn it off when done (not a timed, button that I push)
The power was great! I checked the box and got a strong 126 volts. During our stay the voltage remaining above 120 volts, even when using AC, microwave and other (smaller) electric items.
Good water. No complaints here. Looked clean and didn’t smell bad.
We picked up 12 channels with the omnidirectional antenna that came on our camper. 8 of those channels were of great quality. The other 4 didn’t really work... We picked up CBS and CW among other channels that I can’t recall.
We had good cell phone coverage. We are with a smaller company called CSpire. It runs off of the CDMA network, and if I’m not mistaken, these are the same towers as Verizon. We had great service. Most of the time we had full bars, or just under. LTE was good enough to stream Netflix, HBO, etc... effortlessly in 720p when connecting our smart tv to our phone as a hotspot. My son has service with AT&T and also got just as good reception.
On our way out the dump station was easily accessible and features 2 bays. What’s nice about this is that each bay has is own sewer located on the driver side (unlike some others I have been too with 2 bays, but the sewer is located between in the center of the bays and is not ideal to use in one bay due to the sewer dump valves being on the opposite side of the camper).
Last but not least, the staff was helpful and friendly.
Overall we were very happy with our stay at this campsite and have already made reservations for another long weekend here. We can’t wait to get back! We love the larger sites, and that the wooded area makes them feel rather private. Nice clean facilities, water access, good cellular and tv reception, and even just a few minutes drive from a Walmart or several good restaurants in Fulton. Highly recommended!

Take a walk down to the huge lake and find an excellent fishing pier. Or turn left and take a short hike on the boardwalk up to the education center, where you can purchase an America the Beautiful pass to make your future visits half price. Only 4 miles from the interstate. Three loops of camping provided plenty of spaces, which were all back-in at the loop we camped at. Would have loved to have been able to stay longer. The only downside is no Wi-Fi, but that's the trade-off for seclusion.

The camp host was the meanest person I ever heard met. She was not only rude but belligerent for no reason. My friend , who was in the car lane, went to the window to show the online reservation and I was in the camper lane, with the window open and we sadly had the entrance blocked. She had shown her reservation and a car pulled behind her so I asked if I could go on to the site, my friend said yes as again this was a paid for reservation and we were blocking. the woman screamed “NO SHE CAN NOT I DO NOT KNOW WHO SHE IS “. My friend said she is with me and you have my license . But the woman kept yelling. I didn’t leave and the horrible woman just kept us there for a prolonged time because as she said she could do what she wanted to. 2 days later she sent rangers down to the site to explain the rules. The problem was according to the rangers she was not supposed to Even ask for the license and they proved to me this camp ground is run by the worse ever. If you are someone who doesn’t live here and do not know her for better treatment, I advise you to find another place
