We thought it was free to camp here, but it is part of Yuba State Park, so $25 per night. No one here! Deep sand.

Our family is currently parked here with our 36 ft Class A - and it’s wonderful! It took a little scouting coming in to ensure the roads to the beach itself were doable (didn’t want to get stuck in loose sand in the middle of nowhere). Once we found a route and parked - it was perfect. Only 3 campers total at the park - the neighbors are about a half mile away though, so essentially the lake is yours - very private. Great place for the kids to swim and parents to relax. The night skies were amazing. Wide open and clear. Perfect for stargazing or bringing out the dusty telescope. The only catch - the bugs. After the sun starts to set, the bugs come out. And THICK. They don’t “bite” - just annoying. As long as we didn’t have a light on (for them to swarm) it was tolerable. Definitely would visit again - two thumbs up. And we have T Mobile coverage - no lag/no issues. Perk.

It is a nice primitive campground. You can park wherever you want and the nicest thing is you can choose how close to the lake to be.
