Old FS campground w/a friendly camp host. Primitive sites w/water spigots through out park. 1 bathroom, which was being worked on while we were there, so never used. Wasn’t expecting much but this campground definitely delivered. Very secluded, silent, spaces are very far apart, bathrooms, water spigots available throughout, beautiful lake, and a lot of roads/trails to explore. Good cell service on Verizon and ATT. 2 bars ATT and 4 bars Verizon. Site 5 is probably the longest pad and fit our truck... more

Overall we enjoyed our stay here! It’s a bit out of the way and we like that. We also really enjoyed driving around and exploring the little towns and neighborhoods in the area, though many trees are still down from last years storms and we ran into several blocked roads and trails. Make sure to watch out for tags marking killer trees, too! We arrived and set up after dark, and didn’t realize until the next morning we were parked right under three of them! We made sure to leave before the wind and rain so we got out okay.
It was difficult to get level at site #10, not sure if that’s the case for the rest of them.
Surprised it wasn’t mentioned in a previous review, but this campground is located within five miles of a military gunnery and bombing range. You can hear them throughout the day, but it was more interesting than it was a disturbance. They aren’t so close that it’s loud, you just hear them in the distance.
Reading over this review, I feel like I’m not really selling it, but this place was exactly what we were looking for. Nestled in the forest and several of the sites are right on the water. We had a great stay.

Very peaceful and secluded. Plenty of room between sites. No hook ups or dump stations but you can run down to Kincaid a few miles down to dump if needed.
