Yes, it’s a bit of a hike. There’s an underpass under the 101. It’s all downhill to the beach but that means, yes, it’s all uphill back. We brought bikes which made access a little faster.

The RV resort sits across highway 101 from the beach. But you can walk from the RV park through El Capitan State Park and gain access to the beach. However, no dogs are allowed on the beach and they are very strict about it.
