The comfort stations were clean. There was hot water & good pressure in the showers. Absolutely NO Wi-Fi in the park unless you go to the Visitors Center about 1 1/2 miles away. Then you have to be right next to it. The staff is very nice at this park. There is a dump. We had water and electric at our site. We were 20 minutes from the Shenandoah National Park.

I stopped in to ask about junior ranger packets and was "greeted" by a real gem of a woman who told me she was too busy to answer questions, I needed to go to the visitor center. Went on to campground.
Don't plan to dump your tanks on the way in, as the location of the dump station requires a trip back to the main road to turn around, or a u turn of sorts to loop back into the campground after dumping.
The park is beautiful, even though there isn't much view from each campsite due to the foliage, even when bare in February. The trails are great and show the beauty of the park. The issue we had is the in and out of local vehicles seemingly making loops in the campground, all driving 30mph minimum. Even conservation officer and park rangers don't seem to set a decent example of how to drive in a campground. Otherwise the site and campground were great.
For those working or schooling from the road, tmobile and att were both good for speeds. Download for both over 35 mbps and upload over 20. At times (non peak) as high as 125 down and 75 up, so no concerns.

Wonderfully maintained and beautiful campground. Staff is helpful, friendly, and very well organized. Plenty of hiking trails + tubing on the Shenandoah River. Sites are very spacious with gravel pad and picnic/fire area. Water & electric only but a dump station is available. The only detractor is the lack of reliable cell service.

Even if you’re not camping here, it’s worth a stop! The campground is GREAT, but the overlooks at the visitor center and one the road getting to the visitor center, are INCREDIBLE! Friendly staff and rangers, huge sites, and quiet. We can’t imagine passing through the area and not going out of our way to stay here.

We have a 45' toyhauler and had no issues back in into our site and even have enough room to leave the 5th wheel hooked to the truck overnight. There was plenty of room around the picnic table and fire ring. Our site was crushed gravel and they were angled for easy in/out of the site. 50AMP service!! and water. Dump station available as you drive out. Love to come back and spend a few days - fantastic peaceful camping in the woods!

A beautiful small state park. Around 30th sites, well spaced, gravel and appear to be level. Ours was. The trails were nice and lots of access to the river. We also did laundry, cheapest around! (.75 to wash and .75 to dry!). Overall, a great park.

Most spots are equally nice. Some on outside of loop have direct trail access. Clean bathhouse, dumpster is at the top of the hill but not too far. Definitely a good spot to set up and stay a while or use it as a base camp for exploring the area. There is a nice little visitor center with some good activities in the park. Be sure to check out the view from the overlook. Definitely worth a visit!

This campground has no river or valley views, but the sites are well-maintained, well-spaced, and level. It was peaceful and quiet, and pretty small. We did not have a chance to explore the park, but it is a lovely area, and we would definitely come back to spend more time.
