We have really enjoyed the beauty, peace and quite camping at Selah Acres near Warren, TX several times. They are located about an hour north of Beaumont in the Piney Woods of southeast Texas.
The property has three gravel pad RV sites that can accommodate large rigs, full hookups, 20 acres of lush grass, a bass fishing pond and unbelievable night skies to stargaze. It also has bathroom / shower facilities, outside lounge area under a tin roof patio and a TV room.
The Big Thicket National Preserve, known for a diverse ecosystem, kayaking and hiking, is about twenty minutes away.
If you are looking for a secluded, peaceful place this one is worth checking out.

“Beautiful Property!”

He have stayed here a few times over the last couple of years. The property is really beautiful and quiet. Lots of land, beautiful pond, wildlife and a nice peaceful road to walk along if you like. Fairly close to town with a Walmart and other stores. Very close to one our favorite donut shops (Warren Donuts). Highly recommend!

We enjoyed this experience so much I’m not sure where to start! Scott, Lindsay and their family were such gracious hosts. Super friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and we really enjoyed spending time with them.
The property is beautiful and well maintained. Huge amount of lawn space and two lovely ponds with lots of bird watching opportunities. We hung out by the dock one morning and saw several fish, birds, turtles, frogs and possibly an otter. Deer frequent the area as well. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of space for the kids to run and explore. There is also no light pollution which makes it ideal for exceptional star gazing. The patio was very comfy as well. Shaded with comfortable furniture and grilling space. It’s a great gathering spot! The bathroom was very nice and super clean. The internet was flawless.
This host location is located on a peaceful country road. I went running with my dog and it was great! Not much traffic and plenty of room to step off the road when a vehicle came through. Not far from this location is Big Thicket National Preserve. We saw so many birds there, crawfish stacks, insects, huge pine cones, beautiful flowers and so much more. They even have long leaf pines and carnivorous plants! The visitors center had plenty of educational things for the family which was really nice. Also there is an amazing doughnut place just 9 mins out. We ran out for fresh doughnuts one morning and they were dangerously delicious!!
The entire family rates this location and it’s people 10/10. We slept so well and enjoyed it so much we didn’t want to leave. We sure hope this locations is available for many years to come because it’s a real treasure. Thank you so much for such a lovely experience and showing us Mainers what genuine southern hospitality is!!
