Hello there, is there potable water or a working spigot near the entrance?

The spigots we saw had the threads cut off. We didn’t stop at the visitor center to see if there were other areas that had potable water that was accessible.

There is no spigot with threads, they lock the water. One time I was here the water was turned on but the other trips it was off every time. This is considered a dry campground. You'd have to bring your own water and then you can always drive to California City for water about 20 minutes away

Last time I camped there near the entrance potable water was available as was a dump station. Be advised that was in 2019, finding a level site is difficult.

Yes, there was potable water there when we camped. Double check their website to make sure though. Thinks can change.
