“Small campground; lots of birds and frogs”

Overall Rating

The road into the campground off the main forestry road, twists and turns as it weaves downhill. It has lots of potholes and it is pretty much a one lane track. The campground has about 7 sites which are best suited to tents and small Class B campers. Select a camp site and pay the fee using the iron ranger and the available envelopes. The sites are dirt pads, most with a border of shade trees. There are some sites that are not very level if you are in a van. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. Most camp sites have a close neighbor site on one side. There is one pit toilet, but it lacks a door latch. There is a small stream that runs through the campground. The birds sang most of the day and the frogs sang from dusk until about 11 pm. There is trailhead for hiking that starts opposite the iron ranger.

I liked that it was limited in the number of sites and that they were scattered within the campground so you didn't feel like you were in a parking lot.
