I was there in mid May and it was fine. We had a light rain the day before I arrived and it rain through the night and I had no issues. I was only towing a 17 foot Cassita but there were lots of big rigs in there and none of them had any issues. Very wide open area. First few spots appear to be party areas for the locals but you can go back in quite a ways and find some peace and quiet
