We stayed at site #16. Near the lake, but not a lake view.
Would definitely stay again when in the area. Toured the nearby Okefenokee Swamp and that was worth the cost.

We're from the western states, so the east coast camping experience is relatively new to us. Keep that in mind, since the negative points for us might not be negative for you.
First - the park itself is beautiful and clean. The staff and the hosts are super sweet. There's a large day use area where the kids can play on a large playground without being in the middle of someone's campsite.
The reason we didn't enjoy this park is the noise level. Yelling every day, and not just the kids, people playing music well past 9pm, TVs going, dogs barking, all of it. It seems like it's a very social place. Even in the bath house, there were people gossiping right near us every time we used it. There's no "best campsite" (though maybe the end sites at the lake). We have one that's off to the side, but you can hear everything from the day use area (mostly kids screaming all day and adults hollering at each other) and even then our campsite is just a gravel area built out to fit our trailer, the picnic table, and the fire ring. There were a lot of adults yelling at each other this week out in the main areas, which we thought was odd.
All that said, it's really a nice park, but if you enjoy a quieter camping experience during the week, this isn't going to be the place. We expect a lot of noise on the weekends, but usually get 3 or 4 really peaceful days during the week, but not one peaceful day at this park, so we decided to leave a day early and hide out somewhere a little more relaxing. Maybe we came on a bit of a feisty week (there was a lot of feist!), but it wasn't for us.
For those working from your trailer/RV, the signal for T-Mobile and Verizon was more than enough to work easily. AT&T struggled a bit, but we're guessing it'd be just fine if using a booster. We didn't, only because we already had the other two carriers with more than enough speed to work with.

We stayed here in mid-January in 2023. I average our nightly rate with the park fee & senior discount. We had reserved online. Nice check in & always love when there is a campstore (we collect magnets). Our site was close to the pull thru behind us. But oddly enough, that guy used to live in our home town - in California...! The lakeside sides are obviously the ones to try to get, but the ones back along the forest side were nice too. Our site was out in the middle.
Good: inexpensive laundry (but yes two machines out of order), really nice trails across the street & over to the boardwalk, friendly people and the best: DOG PARK! Our young Lab loved it.
We would come back here just for that!

Very clean and well spaced out park. Site 12 is the best especially when you have dogs. Laundry is here for .75 to wash and .75 to dry. They only had one washer and one dryer though. The others were out of order. Seems like they should have a few more. Great camp hosts too!!!

Georgia state parks are among the cleanest ones we’ve stayed at. Trails across the road and around the lake for hiking, biking or dog walking. There is a dog park here! Two sections and almost always empty. It was nice to let Fido sniff around off leash for a bit. Great place!

Most or all sites are 30 amp and no sewer, but there is a dump station. Nice lake. We are staying in mid-October, mid-week and it is a quiet peaceful place and not overly crowded. We have a decent view of the lake. The weather has been beautiful, cool and crisp. Roomy campsites and situated in a way the, although open, there is a sense of at least some privacy on your camp side. They have some of the best burning firewood we’ve ever got at a state park here in the East and you get a choice of pine or oak. We will definitely come back here again and recommend this park.

Our pull thru site #1 was very large and had plenty of room for our 24’ TT and truck. The trails were well kept and provided a nice morning walk as did the day use areas. The park provided WiFi but we did not use it so can’t speak to its strength. E did have 2 bars on ATT with no issues streaming or talk/text. We will be back when the weather cools off!

I grew up in Waycross and spent a lot of time at Laura Walker State Park in my youth at the day use area and group camping areas. This was my first time in the RV section. My experience was top notch. Very, very spacious lots. You could play football between some of them. Lot 4 was across the street from water, it was perfect for our dogs. Staff and camp hosts are super friendly and helpful. Can’t really think of any cons…. There are two very clean shower houses/laundry facilities in the RV section, good water and power, convenient dump station with a good long black water flush hose. The sites are water and electric so bring a poop tote. There are two FHU spots but those are available only to handicap/special physical needs campers. If you’re into hiking or Geocaching there are great trails and caches along them all around the park and lake. It’s posted for alligators but they stay on the north side and no where near the swimming areas. Fishing and boating opportunities are excellent too. I pulled many large mouth bass and catfish out of that lake in my youth.
Very convenient to Waycross for shopping. Check out Okefenokee Swamp park in either Folkston or Waycross for close encounters with massive gators shed other swamp critters. Gated access that is locked at night. They give you a code do you can enter/exit after hours. Law enforcement (County sheriff and game wardens) are ever present not because there’s issues but because they are very visible. If you fish make sure you have the proper license.

On-site hosts were super friendly and always busy. The wi-fi was great! The best we have experienced in a state park thus far. We were able to stream movies on Netflix the entire 4 nights with no issues. We visited the Okefenokee Swamp Park as well. Enjoyed the train and boat ride thru the swamp.
