Nice campground in the water. The dog park was an unexpected treat! Nothing special but nice to have a place the dogs can run off leash.
If you have Starlink internet I recommend site 1 or 2, I had an obstructed signal at site 3, lots of latency.

This was a nice, quiet campground to spend an evening; although my cell reception was weak to intermittent at site. I saw a WIFI name for the SP listed, but we got there after hours so didn’t have a PW to try to connect, but it might be an option. We would camp here again, as there’s no place to boondock apparently in the town of Waycross (due to ordinance signs in town at the usual commercial lots which are known to allow for such.) We got here late, and left when it opened up so we could pay for the site, so we didn’t get to spend much time there to check out the trails and such. But, we have stayed at Okeefonokee National Wildlife Refuge park by the Florida side in the past, and that was an awesome experience, so I presume this would be similar if one ventured out to canoe here as well! If we are back in the area, we will definitely come back again to explore more! The one negative, was that there was no directions regarding what to do if you arrived after hours, what the price for the sites were, etc - so we just picked an empty site and hoped for the best and waited for the office to open at 8 am and paid/checked out.

Réal Nice place and people. We started to walk the trail around the the lake but had to turn back because there were a lot of ticks biting on our lower legs.

This our our 3rd stay at this park, very well maintained and clean. Sites are deep and flat surrounded by grass with spots of pine straw. Very kid friendly with summer camp like events.

We visited Okefenokee Swamp Park which is very close and took a boat tour. It was a nice day.
I believe we’ll be back for a longer stay and to kayak the swamp.

I stumbled on this small park in Dec 2020 while meandering thru south GA en route to Savannah area, and then came back a month later in Feb 2021 for 2 weeks. Most of the features are reviewed accurately by others, but my faves are the campground WIFI, dog run, the fully tiled showers with great water pressure, and the inexpensive W/D. Sites are level, and while there are price differentials for lake front vs off lake, truly, you can see the lake from every site. This past weekend there was a little "fair" with food trucks and vendors with items for sale, which was a nice bit of entertainment. Ford dealership nearby works on Class C RVs, and the Tractor Supply in Waycross has a self serve dog wash! I am still working, so WIFI was impt to me -- it's stable enough for videoconference during the week, but overloaded on weekends when the park is full. I have been able to back it up with my Verizon phone hotspot.
Great, quiet place for me!

The campground is very nice, busy on the weekends, with fishermen and locals who all seem to pull out at noon on Sunday. The rest of the week the park is fairly empty. We found the hosts helpful and friendly and the rangers too. Little store sells ice and a few essentials and fire wood with t-shirts and maps of the area. We LOVED this park and will definitely visit here again. We have a 39ft 5th Wheel and found the sites generous in length and easy to get into. A variety of shorter sites for smaller campers. Be aware there is only 30 amp service, with water but NO sewer hook ups so bring your honey wagon if you have one, as there is a dump available on site. Television only 10 channels, PBS, shopping and 2 ION channels available over the air.

Staff was awesome. Kids had fun. Lake was fun. Saw no gators. Caught zero fish. You can receive mail there. Fixed my fuel pump here. Close to big chain stores.

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights during COVD to get away and practice social isolation while camping. No onsite check in - drive straight to our site which made things super easy. Lucky to get a spot right on the lake which I think is the best spot in the park. Large level pad with big living area right on the lake, only negative was no place for our hammock. People use this area to put in their kayaks so there was a fair amount of foot traffic during the day but that didn't bother us at all. Perfect site to people watch boats, kayaks and JetSkis. Very peaceful at night. The interior sites are closer together which could be an issue if you have noisy neighbors. Lots of trees for shade cover. We biked all along the trails to the other side of the lake and checked out the cabins which also looked very nice. We didn't have a kayak but this trip cemented our desire to get one. Bathrooms were kept fairly clean, didn't use the showers. The hosts really did a nice job keeping the sites clean and prepping for new visitors. Definitely come back here again for a getaway.
