We stayed here for 14 days and had no issues! On the weekends there are a few more people boondocking, but once Monday hits, most people leave. We have been the only people here for probably 10 out of our 14 days. During the weekend you will get some ATV noise depending on which spot you pick, but it's bearable.

One thing to call out: You do have to cross a literal river to get to this spot. Look on the map to understand that a bit better. There are 2 ways to cross the river following 2 separate roads: 1 road crosses the river in a deeper section, while the other road crosses in a shallower section. When we initially got here, we didn't know about the shallower crossing and drove our Prius through the deeper crossing. Luckily there hadn't been much rain in the days leading up to our arrival, so even the deeper section was quite low. However, we did get rain during our stay and when we went to get groceries, the deeper section crossing had significantly risen in terms of water level. We decided to not cross, but felt like we were stuck at our campground due to this. This was somewhat of a safety concern in our mind, because if something were to happen we wouldn't have been able to leave! A few days later, we discovered the shallower crossing by using Bar X road (look this up). Again, we drive a Prius and we were able to get through the crossing using Bar X road.

Nearest dump station is at Cholla Campground on the other side of Theodore Roosevelt Lake, which is about a 20-25min drive from Indian Point Campground. A little inconvenient to have to drive that far, but at least it's available. There is also water available at Cholla Campground. I talked to someone at the ranger station who made it seem like we had free access to the water (even though we weren't staying at Cholla), but I thought this was too good to be true. To avoid getting any flack, I bought a day pass ($12) at Cholla Campground and filled up my 10 gallon water jugs to take back to Indian Point.

TL;DR: Make sure you're checking the weather as there is a river you have to cross and any rain will significantly raise the water level, making it hard to cross if you're in a smaller vehicle.

It’s a big gravel pit with a vault toilet. Nice views of the lake. Busy place. The gravel keeps the dust down. To bad the campground next door is closed and abandoned. Would find a better place next time.
