Our site was electric only. We were also close to the playground for the kiddos. It was a very nice playground, my only wish was that it had a swing for smaller children. It only had what I considered big kid swings so I wasn’t able to push my 16 month old in the swings which was kind of a bummer! But that was my only negative. Highly recommend!

We originally booked 52A, but after a 30 minute struggle to get Bessie into the spot (which we amazingly managed to do) it was just too unlevel for our rig. Thankfully there was another open site that was awesome.
We ended up backed up to the lake in 79A a paved site that was straight in and level. We lived the spot and the campground but cell signal was weak and we have to work, so we only stayed a night.
While Verizon showed full bars at 4G the connection was extremely slow. Same with AT&T.

Nice big lots, everyone has full shade. Each loop has a big bathroom with massive showers. One of our showers even had a handheld nozzle! And each loop has their own dumpster.
This campground is out in the boonies so you'll want to stock up before you pull in. Here's a rundown:
25 min from Walgreens
45 min from Walmart
40 min from laundromat
2 hours from Target and CVS
The trails are wide and there are multiple water access points to get to the shoreline
This is a reserve only now so be sure to pick your spot before you show up. I haven't seen an attendant though I did see a couple kids cleaning the bathrooms.
There is a paid wifi option that's $20/week but I just used Sprint roaming as a hotspot for my laptop and it was perfect. So try the free route first.
The photos for each spot are accurate on recreation.gov =)

We drove down to the Mark Twain (State Park) birthplace for a fascinating museum visit; sadly didn't get to hike here as swarms of Japanese Asian Beetles were on the attack, those little ladybug imposters bite! Thankfully they were not a problem at the campground.
