Overall Rating
Sites are close together and road noise is loud during the day. But the sites are level and we had 50 amp, water and sewer for $23 so we're not complaining. It's a good place to stop when you're just passing through for a night and don't want or need anything more. If you take a back-in site along the river, it might be a little more private, but you'll still have the highway noise. Bill's Steakhouse in town was a decent place to get a meal, but the ribs were overrated.

I personally didn't camp here, my friend did. He wanted a place near the river and I guided him there. This park is run by the City of Independence. Noise is high during the day due to HWY 150 next to it with semi trucks and car constantly going by. Some people get a little loud, but gets quieter as the night gets closer to sound curfew.
42 Sites with cable, sewer, water, electricity, and each include a picnic table with a fire pit. 15 of those sights have 50 amp service.
