Hurricane Landing

The campground itself was clean and well maintained. All sites looked quite level,but without screening between sites. We did not use the public bath house. The adjacent boat launching areas were not so clean. The camp host was friendly and helpful. We did spend an enjoyable day visiting Oxford.

The sites themselves were very good--well thought out, level, spacious. Hookups worked great. The campground itself was in a natural setting, at then end of rural road. Lots of lovely nighttime sounds from critters in the marshy surrounds. Not many other campers here on a winter weekend but I expect it gets busy in nice weather.

Our noise ding comes from one other camper playing music quite loudly well into the night. We had this experience at another campground recently as well...again may have been bc it was nearly empty but on the other hand may get amplified w more people. Some trash around and bathrooms not the cleanest. If we came back to Oxford, we might try another campground to see if we could do better, but we'd also came back here as well.
