Heart of Haynesville RV Park

Paid $150 for the week. To be honest we were a little concerned when we first arrived, this is a very large park at 155 sites and it’s only about a third full right now. I believe we were the only guests who were here for less than a month. The gentleman who returned my last minute call was very friendly, gave me the self check in instructions and told me to set up in whatever site we wanted. They’re all full hook up sites. It turned out to be a very pleasant stay! It’s very peaceful with the only noise being from a nearby train. Easy to park and get level, all utilities work as expected. Laundry room is clean. It is a bit of a drive (25 minutes or so) to groceries and dining. There’s not a lot of tourist attractions, we were in the area to visit friends. With few options in the area we feel this was the best option and would gladly stay again.

This campground is outside of Shreveport and Mansfield, about 20-30min from either town. The park offers 155 sites, all full hook-up, all hard packed gravel, all almost perfectly level. The perimeter sites on the left hand side of the entrance have 2 options for water and sewer hook up, one further back towards the fence and one close to the front of the site. All utilities are well maintained and look new. The park mainly caters to workers on the pipeline and oil field but anyone may come and stay. Because it is a working mans campground it is almost empty on the weekends, as they go home, and the guys go to work early and return later in the evening during the week. There is a train track that runs on the other side of the road and is used frequently but all campgrounds in this part of LA have trains that go by. The campground has wifi and laundry but we didn't use either of those.
