Road must have been recently maintained because aside from a few sharp rocks, it wasn’t bad! The place is unbelievably amazing. We’re going back next weekend (this time, with mosquito repellant)

This campsite is great! The road to get there is long a very rocky and bumpy but I got my Sonata up and down with no problem. This campsite is great! The road to get there is long a very rocky and bumpy but I got my Sonata up and down with no problem. Beautiful sites right by the creek, had to scout down a few roads to find an open spot.
Came at end of November, at night it gets FREEZING. All of our liquid and semi-liquid items froze overnight, but during the day it was just a bit chilly.
Wasn’t very crowded at all, didn’t run into another camper for all 4 days, absolutely no service for any of us.

Lovely area with open or shaded spots by the brook. No services. Would love to have stayed longer! Only slight negative is the 7+ mile drive on a washboard dirt road off 395.

Really well maintained road! I pulled off onto this over look that is separated form the main road by a small hill. Really amazing view. There was little snow on the road but I was able to clear it in my Mazda 3. Definitely going to come back here again!

Stayed here in mid-October and while it was absolutely freezing (literally) at night, it’s incredibly beautiful. The trees in the canyon were changing color and the area is so peaceful. Stayed here in mid-October and while it was absolutely freezing (literally) at night, it’s incredibly beautiful. The trees in the canyon were changing color and the area is so peaceful. Plenty of open space to be away from other campers and nothing but gorgeous views. Only downside is that you have to drive about 6 miles on dirt road so better for SUVS and trucks than small cars. Would definitely stay here again!

It was July 4 weekend and previous campers and their pets had pooped close to camp. Was a turn off.

Stayed here on 6/4/2020 in a little spot a few miles before the routed location from this app. The creek is right there next to the parking spot to enjoy. Lots of trees for shade and a hammock. The creek is right there next to the parking spot to enjoy. Lots of trees for shade and a hammock. A short walk to a swimmable area of the creek just before a natural damn.
Only small (very small) downside is the long drive in and out. Totally worth it though. Dirt road was friendly to our Chevy Box truck (no issues).

It’s kinda a ways from Yosemite but it’s free and the weather is super nice all day and evening. We were nestled up right next to a creek and under some trees. There was a crazy forest fire up the road we had to report and got to watch the helicopter drop down and get water. The dogos got to be off leash the whole time and play in the creek they had a blast and we loved the views we just stayed up there for a couple days and hung outside it was so peaceful just being alone

It’s a long bumpy dirt road to the site, but it’s worth the creekside sites that are available. Bring bug spray and a camera. The views are great!
