Our site B30 was an uphill push and featured a big tree in the driveway - not a dealbreaker, but a chore. On -site honor system “store” features local produce, canned goods and firewood. Big boating campground, full with lots of friends/family campers on weekend. Mid-week was pleasantly 1/3 full. Good jumping off point for Mammoth Cave. $13 per night with lifetime parks pass…Recommended!

We had campsite A9 and in my opinion, it is the best campsite at the park. We have a 25 foot travel trailer and did not have to level. The only issue I had, was, no internet service or TV signal.

Great place to stay. Sites was close to beach and kids were able to fish right on the site. Most sites are good size. Great if you have a boat because the ramp is at entrance of park. Good produce stand a half a mile up the road. Didn't use bathrooms.

Nice campground basic amenities showers, picnic table, fire pit, lantern hook, and great neighbors. Feel safe campground. We paid 20 due to pulling trailer in to a nice camp spot near water in section B.

All sites are on, or close to the lake and have a firepit and picnic table. Quite a few sites are pull-through. Dumpstation is located near the exit.
There is a small beach with a swimming area, but we have seen swimmers all over.
The site is a bit remote and the campground entrance could be better marked. Immediately following the campground sign is a warning posted that the road ends in water, which caused us to pass the entrance. But the ranger station is before the water/boat ramp, not obvious from the road.. If you pass the entrance, you may be directed to a loop of 10 miles on a narrow, winding road, because there are no turn-around spots sooner.
Cell phone service was spotty, bit our Verizon jetpack had full wifi data. No TV signal.
The day use area has a boat ramp, picnic area and a nice play structure.

I felt extremely safe at this campground. We did have an issue with there being dirty diapers and other garbage in our fire pit when we arrived, but we brought it to the attention of the staff and they quickly brought a shovel to clean it out and apologized. My kids really enjoyed the swimming (although the lake was kind of muddy) and the playground. It is about a 30 min. drive to Mammoth Cave visitors center (allow extra time to wait for the ferry!). Also, I had NO cell service with AT&T anywhere in a 10 mile radius. This is truly one of the nicest campgrounds I've ever stayed in.

We had a beautiful spot right on the lake and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets over the water. The campground was quiet and peaceful. Surrounding area was rural and beautiful.
Sites are gravel and have been made level with retaining walls built by the Army Corp of Engineers. There is electric and water available at sites. Most if not all sites have views of the water.
We would stay at this park again.
