It is shady and quiet, with a nice dog park and lots of options for walking the dogs. The village of Woodland Park is very close with all the basic amenities for groceries, gas, drug store, etc. Between there and Garden of the Gods are several small communities and natural spots to visit. Unfortunately, we did not increase altitude slowly enough and spent one day with altitude sickness. The back end of the camp where we were located was just across a fence from a construction service lot and there was some noise during in the early morning with trucks coming in and out.

It’s $3.50 to wash and dry a load of clothes and they have a signup sheet to reserve a time. The checkin process was easy as I could check in with a button on the confirmation email. The tall pines, tables and fire pits make it much more like a campground than an RV park.

Perfectly lovely. The copious, tall pines give added shade from intense Colorado sunshine. Full hookups. Great bathhouse. We will be back.

Diamond Campground is one of my favorite RV parks. It's perfect for 'chore days' between boondocking spots, or as a base to explore town & the area. It's one of the few parks I've found that takes same-day online reservations, and it has a photo and description of each site on the website, including how level it is and if it would work for motorhomes/trailers etc.
In my experience, the laundry, showers, dog park, employees, and general vibe are all great. The playground looks fun for kids, too. The pines throughout the campground make for great shade, but there's still room to maneuver. The wifi is ok, better than most RV parks but spotty on weekends. The sites are fairly close to each other but there are trees and space between many - it's not a parking lot configuration like the parks closer to Co Springs. It's a pretty quiet park considering how many people it holds. Adorable bunnies and deer hang out in the lower section, so walking down to the dog park is always a cute adventure.
The surrounding area is very walkable and bikeable. There's a nice walking/bike trail across the road, the neighborhoods are really cute and quiet, and it's only a few blocks from main street. The natural food store across the road has some great snacks.

We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful setting in the pines, staff very friendly and helpful, restrooms and showers very clean and in great condition. Campground is close to town and many activities of the mountains. I agree with some of the comments that it is a little tight. Sites are little close but somehow it didn’t feel like we were just staring at our neighbors. We had a lot of rain while here and the roads and sites held up well. Only minor complaint would be that our site was a back-in uphill site and not very level. The sewer hookup was all the way in the back (top) of the site and we were almost trying to drain our tank uphill. This was only a minor annoyance and did not detract from the overall excellent experience.

It’s a pretty campground, clean, friendly staff, and great location! Their website boasts “130 spacious” full hookup sites. That might be the case somewhere else in the park but i’m the C loop, site 43, we are packed in like sardines.

Diamond Campground is a GEM. The check in process was easy and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. Our site was easy to find, as the camp is well signed and divided into letter coded sections making it easy to navigate the park. The park is located under a canopy of mature trees. It has the feel of staying in a state park well away from towns, but is actually only 5-7 minutes from Woodland Park and all of its services.
Our kids enjoyed the large play area that was available. Balls and sand toys were available in a bin for the kids. They had a blast. Laundry is available for guests. There is a weekly signup sheet located near the entrance to the facility. When we looked, it was mostly filled up so if you need laundry during your stay, make signing up on the list your first priority. WiFi is spotty at times but we usually had a signal for basic services. Streaming was not an option.
The only issue we had with our site was that it was not even close to level (front to back). I had my tongue almost all the way down and barely hit level. This was awkward but we made it work.
Final Thoughts:
Diamond Campground is well worth the price. The campground is great and if you’re in the area, you should stay here!

We have been living in our RV full time over the past 8 months and have been to many campgrounds/RV parks and this one was my overall favorite and my wife’s 2nd favorite! We had spot 74 for the first 5 days which was a dream spot that was well shaded with lots of space, a picnic table, trees for our eno’s, and a fire ring. We had to move to 57 our last 2 days which was a bit of a downgrade but only because we knew how wonderful 74 was. While there were some small-ish spots most were plenty big, I never saw any that I would be unhappy with.
My wife and I both work and were able to work off their internet the entire week just fine, except for the last day weirdly when not even our phone service was working well. We both have Verizon and maintained about 3 bars of LTE the majority of the time we were there.
Some may not like that it’s all dirt, no grass but that didn’t bother us too much. The only issue I had was that you couldn’t have a fire in the fire ring or in your own above ground fire pit, only a charcoal or propane fire, which isn’t exactly their fault, it was more the city/state ordinance. If that had been the case I would have given it 5 stars (I’m very passionate about my campfires). But like I said, best campground I’ve stayed in over the past 8 months without a doubt! 10/10 would recommend staying here!

This is an exceptionally clean park aside from the dirt roads BUT everyone drove slowly. The staff was friendly in fact there are 55 campsites always reserved for the summer escapees. We would definitely return!
