Our 2nd visit here, glad we came back. Just spectacular scenery & hiking. Mesquite loop is great, and quiet. Only negative, and it's minor, is the park is always under a burn ban, so plan accordingly for your meals. No fires or charcoal grills allowed.

"Easy On Off I-70"

Convenient location if you’re traveling I70 and need an overnight. Looks like half the park is full time residents, half for transients. Grass, level sites, the approach road has a few pot holes.

"Great Park"

All the back in sites are level concrete with a patio, table, fire pit and grill. Nice and quiet, two great museums in Hutchinson: Stratica and the Cosmosphere. Good restaurants and breweries. Roads in and out are good. No trees, Starlink worked great.

I was not actually able to camp in the camp area, because the road was a little washed out right at the entrance. A truck could have...

"Beautiful Scenery "

We booked online for a beach site that had no hookups but due to a work issue we needed power. The ranger onsite was so helpful in helping us find an available site with power. He gave us 4 sites to choose from. We got a site up on the top tier of the hill and it had the most beautiful views. There is a dump station on site and fresh water fill...
