My family and I really enjoyed this quiet secluded site! The whole are is nestled under mature oak trees in a quiet spot away from the highway and just a short, gentle hike to the beautiful water of the Frio River. Camp Cold Springs is a hidden gem of a site! Lots of shade and super easy access to the crystal clear water of the Frio lined with huge picturesque cypress trees and a fishing pond. My kids (5 & 7) loved climbing around on the rocks and playing in the shallow spots of the river where the water slowly drifts by. Great spot to relax with the family and enjoy nature.
