Camp-Along Tent & Trailer Resort

We were looking for a spot hoping to get close to some wineries for some tastings. Okanagan wineries do not have room for RV's in a lot of cases. Pulling into Camp-Along, the road felt tight but we had no problems getting to the office. There are a lot of permanent residents but it was quiet at night, people were friendly and most people kept their spots decent. The wife choose a spot which had a view but she wanted to back in to see the mountains and lake. The owners had no problem and even came out to assist us getting backed into our spot which I appreciated. This had a great view and the least amount of mosquitoes since we arrived in Canada. Probably due to the nice breeze but it was great not being lathered in bug juice. They have a pool (we did not use it) but some young kids had a blast there during the afternoons. As an older person, I like to hear the kids yelling and having a good time as long as it does not interfere with sleep. There are some nice tent spots and other campsites without the view but ours was beautiful. We did walk to one winery which was nearby and enjoyed the host there. We had full hookups even though we turned around for the view. My wife even introduced the owner to her Jalapeno Pepper jam. If we go back again, I need to make sure I take him a jar.
