Pulling our 32' camper, we parked in the front, near the comfort station. It was really tight getting in, due to the campsite posts and trying to avoid them.
There were potable water filling spigots, so use those before you pill into the spot.
The sites weren't too close together but there aren't a lot of trees. There was a lot of standing water from the rains a few days before.
Bathrooms were clean, water for the showers wasn't hot enough.

Some sites are harder to get in with a 35’ rig but not impossible. Sites are mostly level but electric only. You will have to fill up before you setup. Also have to pay $9 out of state fee to get into the park but with your camping pass you can come & go as you like. I was able to work while on AT&T but T-mobile service is spotty.

Brown County State Park is one of Indiana’s best parks, with good scenery and many hiking trails.
Our campsite was very level but some are not. Check the description on the website.
Cost was $23 plus $6 transaction fee and $9 for the out-of-state vehicle.

We stayed in the first loop near the Ranger Station. Tight campsites, have to uncouple to get TV off road. Idea for beautiful hiking and visiting Nashville, Ind.
Clean showers, tiled didn't use them but would next time.
Hard to believe you are in Indiana with the deep ravens, beautiful vista views.

This is a beautiful State Park situated in the rolling hills of southern Indiana. The park offers year around camping with reduced services in the winter months (they do have a heated bath house in the off season). Seasonal outdoor pool, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, Abe Martin Lodge with a year around indoor pool, lakes, naturalist service, nature center and horse camping/trails. The park is in close proximity to the artist village of Nashville, shopping, good dining and groceries. Autumn is the heavy tourist season with the changing of the leaves...breathtaking vistas from the parks elevated vantage points! Large rigs must access the park through the West entrance due to a low clearance covered bridge at the North entrance.

We stayed at Buffalo Ridge campground, which was the only one open. The campground is in a completely open area, surrounded by woods, so the outside sites back up to trees. The sites are fairly close together, so it could be noisy if it were busy, I suspect. The bath/shower house seems new and is very clean. Water got warm enough to shower! Apparently this is a mountain bike destination, but there seem to be few hiking trails, which is why I only give it 4 stars. As others have said, don't come in the north entrance, due to the covered bridge low clearance. A nice drive into Nashville, where there are lots of shops and a brewpub.

This is a large park, well maintained. Park employees were helpful and courteous. We came in after dark and found our site w/o difficulty. For mid October we were surprised at the number of campers. Fall colors, temps in the 70's don't hurt. A weekend visit w/these conditions may require a reservation, even this late into the season. A note to RV's and 5th wheels. Your GPS may take you to the entrance off of 135. DO NOT GO THERE. Take the WEST entrance on 46. The entrance on 135 has a covered bridge. 9' clearance and weight restrictions.
They had quite a few activities for kids, families, hiking and horse trails. If you are out of state and pay the entrance fee, hold onto your receipt, you simply show it any other Indiana State Park and they don't charge you to get in since it was paid at another location.
If you've never been to this area, you will be amazed at the hills. You will quickly see why they call it; "The Little Smokies."
Nashville is the closest town approx 3 miles away. They have shops, hotels, restaurants, all sorts of surprises. We drove though unable to find a parking place since the town was jammed w/fall color visitors and we didn't have time to find a place to park a 30' RV. We were told any other time it's not a problem to park RV's, they were simply full...worth a trip back for sure.
