We have tent camped in the San Rafael Swell, specifically Buckhorn Draw dispersed for three weekends in a row now and are planning more. The campsites have had a fire ring and table and were fairly clean although there has been the usual bottles and cans in the fire ring (pack it in, pack it out!). Some of the sites are pretty close to the road so dust could be an issue. We did notice the last two times we were down there that the access road to Site 13 has been washed out. Hole in the ground restrooms are within driving or walking/biking distance depending on which site you chose and were fairly clean but bring your own TP as some of them were out of it every time we visited. Some of the off-shoot trails in the area have also been washed out making access difficult to see the out of the way historical sites even by 4X4 or OHV, they are however still accessible by hiking or mountain biking. Overall, a really great camping, hiking, off-roading experience! I only gave 4 out 5 stars due to the lack of maintenance on the trails, stocking of TP, the main road is very well maintained and should be fine for a camp trailer or motorhome. All sites are FF, single sites are $15 per night while group sites are $50 per night. We have not had an issue getting a site even on Labor Day weekend. There is also Swinging Bridge campground just after you come out of Buckhorn Draw on the east end of none of the dispersed sites are available.
