“Great place... RVers dumped their tanks on sites”

Reviewed Sep 19, 2018

Overall Rating

We stayed in this lovely area March 2017, for 14 days. We loved the expansiveness and the views of our site, the dark skies, the rush of the F-16s and F-35s flying over us on their way home to Luke Air Force base. And, we disliked the hordes of flies swarming our site due to previous campers who had dumped their gray and black t... more

“Easy access for one night stay”

Reviewed Oct 25, 2017

Stayed one night in mid-October on a Tuesday. Arrived later at night and had no issue getting a site, maybe one or two other groups present. Designated sites can be found at the end of the road on one of the loops and they were pretty level. All had a picnic table and grill, pit toilets were available. We could hear coyotes but not any... more

“Well-equipped sites close to Phoenix, but it gets busy!”

Reviewed Mar 24, 2017

When we first got here, we couldn't find a spot. There was a boy scout event that took up all the designated camping spots with picnic tables, fire rings, etc., and the overflow camping spots were all full. We ended up just making ourselves a spot off the beaten path for the first night. The next day, when the boy scouts left, we immed... more

We met up with friends here, and will definitely stay again next time we're in this area. Clean sites, lots to choose from. Road access is very well maintained.

Please leave your campsite cleaner than you found it! 🐶🐶🌎

Some of the others really seemed to like this campground, but we were less impressed. We stopped here for one night on our way to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. We arrived at around 4:30 pm on a Thursday, and the place was already packed. The few spacious sites along the entrance road (Buckeye Hills Drive) were already taken. ... more

Stayed here two nights. Camped way back in a spot with only one rig near us. There are so many spots, even tho it seems like you might not find one, just keep driving down the many roads you're bound to find a spot. Heard coyotes many times.
