This campground (CG) was easy to find and enter. Check in was a simple process. However, the person checking us in was rude, lectured on rules versus simply telling us, and charged us $2 for being 50 minutes early. Our bad on being early as we didn’t realize the time change to Mountain time was so soon traveling West and even mentioned this to the man checking us in. We were then escorted to FHU pull through site 42. We were again sternly warned that their water pressure is around 90 psi and had to use our pressure regulator directly on their faucet. They also have them in the office if you don't have one, probably charge a fee/deposit, but not sure since we didn't need to use theirs. Our neighbors in 41 arrived soon after us and were checked in and escorted by another person. They were also charged $2 and that person was also rude so, at least they’re consistent. If you look at the rules on their website, the number one rule is, there is a fee for arriving early. Utilities were placed in the center of pad so that was nice. Sites are very close together. WiFi was spotty but we got quite a few OTA channels. We got 4 bars on Verizon. There are horse stables, showers, and laundry here but not much else concerning amenities, which was fine as we were just here overnight. There’s a small fenced dog area and we were told dogs must be on a 6’ leash but their rules brochure states 10’? There are no decent areas to walk your dog. Essentially, the CG is a large gravel parking lot with long termers and plenty of transient sites. We were here on a Wednesday to Thursday and as the afternoon and evening progressed, they packed in the overnighters. We toured Tucumcari and saw a few neat murals but this little Route 66 town has seen better days. Based on how we and other campers were treated plus other options in the area, we will not stay here again.

The campground is next to a large road so there was road noise. It did quiet down quickly at night. It was very windy even though the day in general did not have much wind.
There are corrals for horses here and a small dog park. My Australian shepherd had just space to get up to speed and then turn. There is very little grass in the campground, which was an issue for my dog as we are from east of the Mississippi and she is used to using grass.
My 29 foot trailer was easy to park and there were multiple big rigs in the spaces. One should note that I saw a large Class A almost scrape it's rear on the entrance dip. If you have a lot of overhang beyond your back tire it's best to enter the lot at an angle.
There was free wifi but it was very slow. I had 3 bars of Verizon 4G.

FHU, stayed one night on our travels. Staff were nice and escorted us to our site. They did advise us to place our pressure regulator on the spigot since they have high water pressure. No shade but spacious gravel sites. Not much in the town as far as restaurants but there is a grocery store and tractor supply.

We were informed spots were available and were told to give them a call back before 7pm (when we got to Amarillo) if we thought we would get as far as Tucumcari. Mike told us he would put our check-in information in an envelope in case we got in late. We arrived at 8:30pm and he was on the phone helping a guest log into wifi. He greeted us, showed us to our spot and let us borrow a water pressure regulator since their water pressure is high. Mike was super helpful and friendly. The bathrooms were clean; didn't use showers or wifi. We left early the next day and appreciated the proximity to the 40 for easy access.

Park owners were really nice, once we got past the check-in process. Park is well maintained. They have strict rules about dogs, which we appreciate. WiFi is streaming quality. Water pressure super high, so bring a regulator. All in all, great value.
Lots of traffic, as most visitors seem to stop for a single night.

Clean, organized, safe place to stop over. We were traveling east on 40 and this was very convenient. You’ll need a water pressure regulator or to use the water from your tank.

When we called to make our reservations the person who answered was very kind and detailed. When we arrived it all changed suddenly. We were greeted gruffly, and we know this greeting. We are experienced RV's but we take Covid seriously and the staff did not wear masks but did wear a heavily badged hat with lots of references to their service in the military. I wore a mask and I feel that was the source of the gruffness. He was gruff and condescending, as if wearing a mask made me deaf or stupid. Caution: their water pressure is too high and will blow your hose. They have blown hoses on display and lecture you about how YOU need to remedy this. You will need a pressure regulator on hand. They do not sell them or lend them but he had one right there on his desk and used it to ask "Do you have one of these?". I made the mistake of asking if I could borrow the one he had sitting right in front of him but he said rather forcibly "NO!" This seemed strange for a property that has out of control water pressure that is damaging property. I have seen parks with this problem before and they install them on the water feeds, but not here. There were signs, I kid you not, every 10 feet throughout the park telling you what to do and what not to do. One of the stranger signs was that no more than two people in the bathroom/ shower facility at a time unless you were a parent and child. What did they think was going to happen? Prostitution? This was not a truck stop. My wife and I do not trust most parks and often attend the shower facilities at the same time, just like in our home. At another point I walked the 50 paces to the dog park to run my dog but realized I forgot my ball. So I went the 50 paces to my RV and retrieved my ball. In that short time the gruff staff man was there on his golf cart telling me that I can not leave my dog there unattended! I said I just went to get the ball. And he laughed. But by this point I was no longer feeling welcome. I don't know if they have a serious problem with all their customers and keep things on the straight and narrow with such enforcement or if they are just rule obsessed. But I am a good judge of character and I felt very judged when I walked in. I am 57 years old, I have no reason to be judged, I just wore a mask. On the good side, the WIFI was possibly the best I have seen.

Check-in was fine, but he would would have called ahead to reserve. Bathrooms were some of the best I have every seen at a RV park. Water pressure is very high so use a regulator if you hook to water, if you don't have one, owner will let you barrow one. Was very windy the night we were here, the rig was "rockin" most of the night.
