Oh! the campgrounds are great as well. Large clean sites. Site 29 was pretty level (no issues really, 2" up on passenger side and lower the front). The site had electric, water (fairly long run) and a dump station near the front of park. I understand it can get busy on the weekends, but during the week it was quiet and beautiful!

Excellent weekend trip! We are a young family, three kids ages 1-7. The campground is very clean, well maintained and the staff friendly. The camp store is well stocked and surprisingly reasonably priced. There is no 50 amp sites, so if you have a large rig keep that in mind. The sites are all paved with a gravel area adjacent to the paved section too. Water is NOT close, as other reviews have stated, be sure to have 75’ at least of hose. Water pressure was about 45 psi. Electric was stable and hovered right at 117-122 volts all weekend. The other common theme in reviews is unlevel pads, this IS true. Some sites better than others, but most all of them will requiring putting one side of your camper in leveling blocks. We needed 3 2x6’s on one side of ours. The front of the camper was probably 42” off the ground and the rear less than 12. Also be aware there is a dirt race track nearby and when they are racing you can easily hear the roaring engines of the cars. When not racing it’s very quiet and peaceful.
The trails and bison area were a highlight for the kids, an interpreter was there to provide information and some hands on artifacts for the kids to touch. We also enjoyed the museum, it’s free and only takes a few minutes to see. There is a nice well maintained playground and swimming pool. The pool, while clean is very basic and dated. Laundry facilities and a clean bathhouse on site. Miniature golf course also available for a small fee. We would certainly go back for a weekend, but will pick a different site. Something in circle 2 or 3.

We camped in a 40 ft motor home. Sites generally have some slope to them but manageable. The asphalt pad is narrow and short. Very quiet. The park had a pool which we enjoyed. There was also a miniature golf course as well. The only reason I would not camp there again is because we are full timers and we have been there and done that.

It's too bad that almost every site is way unlevel. Not just front to back but also side to side. Even with three blocks under the drivers side, we were still not level. After a quick bike ride around the entire park, we discovered that almost every campsite was way out of level in multiple directions. The center loop area seemed to be the exception with smaller flatter sites.

The area is known for it's bison, mastodon & mammoth bones and fossils and the museum and exhibits are pretty cool and informative. There are nice trails, a museum store and the campground is really nice with spacious sites. We stayed here for a R-Pod rally, although we don't have an R-Pod we were invited by friends who do. The campgrounds accessibility isn't bad, the campground was well run and the restrooms clean. We will definitely be back here and I recommend this place to anyone passing through or looking for a little bit different camping experience. The noise level was low and relaxing.

A limited number of okay camping trails from Campground. It was good for our limited stay.
