Armitage Park campground is operated by Lane County, OR. The campground checks lots of boxes: convenient to I-5, but without intrusive road noise; very large, level, paved sites with vegetation between many to offer privacy, a combination of pull-through and back-in sites; showers, restrooms and a coin laundry; adjacent to a huge off-leash dog park, day use area and walking trails, and it’s close to Eugene, OR, a fun town with a great Farmer’s Market.
Each RV site has a picnic table, firepit, digital cable and 50amp full hook-ups, there are also tent sites. Garbage and recycling containers are located throughout the campground. No separate dump station.
We only had one night at Armitage Park, but definitely feel it would be worth a return trip when we could stay longer. Overall, the park appeared well maintained, although I didn’t use the restroom, shower or laundry facilities. We were pleased to find the Wi-Fi was pretty decent, although during our stop in January maybe a third of the sites were occupied so that may change if the campground was full.
One caveat, we called ahead to make a reservation and nobody mentioned there was a $10 reservation fee added to camping fee. Didn’t find out until I looked at the confirmation email. It made our one night stop a bit pricier than anticipated.
We had 2 bars of Verizon 4G and the wifi for internet access.

Second time we have stayed here and still more to discover. Didn’t even know the McKenzie River was a short walk down the trail. Pretty nice sites, full hook up with shade or full sun depending on your preference. Charming hosts. Nice facilities. Even a dog park.

Quiet and green with lots of pull through spots which are pretty level. Full hookups and even got some TV reception with our built in antenna. Lots of room to throw the ball and exercise the dog. We’ve stayed here twice simply for one night traveling but we would stay longer.

Lots of places to walk and a very nice dog park. Didn’t use restrooms/showers but just assumed they were closed anyway because of covid. Only con is a few homeless tents near the river. Could be a problem in warmer months but not in November. Note there is a $10 reservation fee added onto online reservations so we paid a total of $87 for a pull thru for 2 nights. Definitely will continue to stay here when passing through.

We have stayed in site 6, 10 & 31 and all have been great. 10 is a back in with a little privacy as well as 31. There is a nice walking trail along the river and between the dog park and the day use area. We did notice a homeless camp under the bridge the last time here. Our Lab loved the dog park - it has pools to cool off in and like I said, is huge. Camp host was awesome last year when we needed a trailer part - had it delivered to the campground and he actually delivered to us in our site! You can hear the freeway / bridge traffic, but the river helps quiet it down.

This place has it all for me. I had good enough AT&T signal here to work (video calls) during the week. Not great signal but it was enough. WiFi is available but it didn’t cut it for my video calls. Paved sites surrounded by lush forest. Full connections including 50A electric which I needed this week because of how hot it was (mid 90’s most of the week).
It was quiet and the grounds are well kept. Very slight down tick and on my rating because of the freeway noise which was pretty easy to tune out and definitely got quieter at night. Didn’t hear it inside the coach but tent camping may have made it worse.
I’m self contained so I had no reason to use the bathrooms or showers so I can’t rate them.

We have a 35’ motor home towing a Jeep and fit easily in our site. When I made the reservation they didn’t even ask what kind of space I needed because they all seem to be large. I called in the afternoon to make reservation for that night. They charge a $10 reservation fee in addition to $35 per night for the site.
Friendly people, lots of big trees and grassy areas and birds singing. There is a huge fenced dog park and many walking paths, including some that run along the McKenzie river. The only downside is noise from the freeway but it’s not horrible.
