Happy Acres Campground

We stopped here for one night on our way north. What a pleasant stop. The camp ground is immaculate, the showers and rest rooms were very clean, and the hosts were welcoming and helpful. Communication pre and post stay was superior. We arrived after hours and our reservation papers and access codes were waiting for us at the office. The site was gravel, level and long enough for a big rig. It is next to the highway, but the traffic noise was minimal. We had no trouble sleeping with windows open. There is a wonderful pool area, small lake for catch and release fishing, pickle ball court and most likely other activities we were not aware of. They made every effort to assure our stay was enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Happy Acres and will absolutely be returning again. It's clear that they are really investing in the campground. There are a lot of new buildings, events, and improvements planned. It feels like they've really invested in making it feel cute and cozy with the branding and decorations. It's a little noisy right by the interstate, but it's been our favorite campground we've stayed in so far! Everyone was very friendly and we enjoyed chatting with several other campers near us. Big fan!

Starlink reception was ok on site 71, although the trees to the north caused some interruptions. Having the dish on the roof made it not really an issue.

We rented a quaint little sleeping cabin for our friends to use while visiting us. Brand new cabin with a front porch facing a pond. Outside picnic table & fire ring with chairs. Cabin had queen bed, table & chairs, small refrigerator, with both heat & AC. Absolutely adorable. There are new owners that are working very, very hard making improvements to this campground. What they have accomplished in less than one season is nothing short of the impossible. Huge improvement already and they are just getting started.
