Delightfully lovely setting for a campground but there’s a lot more wrong with this campground than there is right. Sites weren’t numbered - the proprietor (who I’ll credit as being incredibly kind and helpful) pointed us to an empty grassy spot between a stage and an overflowing garbage can made out of an old water tank. From what I could tell, we were the only actual campers there - everyone else appeared to be a full-time resident. Most rigs were moss/mildew covered and had semi-permanent additions like plywood skirts/fences/porches suggesting that they hadn’t moved in ages. There was lots of dog waste left on the ground by loose dogs and there were a few quite vocal roosters roaming about as well.

Our site had “full hookups” but I use that term loosely. There was a telephone pole along side the site mounted on which was an electric meter, some plugs, and a nest of wires. The 50AMP socket wasn’t mounted to anything but rather dangling by an electrical wire coming out of the power meter. There were 4, 110v 20amp plugs, but only 1 was usable - the other 3 were charred and melted. The water came from a green garden hose emerging from long grass - I still no idea where the actual water source actually was. There was a sewer hookup but I had no interest in investigating it.

The pleasant setting and the layout of the campground led us to believe that this was once a beautiful campground but at some point fell into a poor state which is a shame.
