We drove up 0.8 miles to mounds of gray earth. If you take a right you will find our cul de sac. We easily got in and out with our 38 foot 5th wheel.
We walked up the main road from our site and found only one other suitable area about a 1/4 mile, after that we did not find any other spots (at least on the road we walked on).
We took the drive to Valley of the Fire State Park. It was pretty. They charge you a $10 entrance fee.
Hope you enjoy our view!

For our first time using Campendium, finding this camping area was primo! Level, decent 4g Verizon signal, fire ring, and gorgeous views of the desert. Can't wait to do more boonsocking!

Nice flat spots but the BLM road is very wash boarded, Sandy and rocky. I could only drive 5 mph or less with my 20 foot TT. BLM needs to grade these roads! Otherwise a nice stay.

This is a great location with a ton of flat open spots along the road. I rode my bike up 2.5 mi & there were still available spots. Very quiet with endless views and great cell signal.

Good place to stay, near the highway. A bit hard to find, look carefully to find the little road to get there. A bit windy (we were unlucky enough to get the storm) but it’s free and the landscape is very cool!

Stay in front for warmer temps, views, signal, sunsets, common area
Stay in back for cooler temps, privacy, quietness, isolation, hiking
In the mornings great time to hike with many fire roads and trails.
