Nice hike to the charming, but touristy borough of OhioPyle.300 foot elevation change to town, no ubers to drive you back! Very clean restrooms - can fill fresh water tanks at the multiple bathhouses. No Cell (AT&T) and no TV. Bring a book.

I can confirm what other reviews mentioned about potable water. The only potable water is at the bathhouses, so filling your RV is tricky. Luckily for us the park was near empty, but I can imagine it's difficult when the campground is busy in the summer. We weren't able to pick up any local TV. Also we noticed no heat in the bathhouses. Many sites were not level and wouldn't recommend a long RV or trailer. Plenty of trails for hiking and things to see and do. RV Access from Route40 is a must!

They are strict about pet only loops and you cannot even walk your dog on a loop not designated for pets. Rangers patrol frequently. Clean, wooded, close to two Frank Lloyd Wright designed houses.

We enjoyed four nights at Ohiopyle SP in early July. Close to town of Ohiopyle with whitewater rafting, the Great Allegheny Passage bike/hike trail, Fallingwater, etc. The sites we all well spaced and well maintained. Bathrooms were clean. Honor-system concession right at entrance was consistently stocked with firewood and ice — very convenient. Staff was friendly and welcoming at check-in. Our site was on Cherry Rd, a mix of electric sites and several Yurts. Other roads were all tents or all electric. Two areas designed with walk-in tent sites. All were consistently maintained and looked popular as we walked the campground. Highly recommend staying here. Be sure to look at directions on website to take alternative road into the site from Rt 40, rather than from Ohiopyle — very steep hill from Ohiopyle, worth the small loop out of the way to have a steadier grade into the campground if pulling a trailer or in a large camper or motor home.

Ohiopyle is an awesome park for hiking, rafting, biking, or riding the waterslides. The town is so-so and definitely bring your groceries! Don't expect to find a good selection in Ohiopyle, altho you'll find plenty of ice cream.

Awesome campground right on the Great Allegheny Passage trail. We loved being able to access the GAP trail right from the campground. We were there in November with plans to visit Fallingwater. This campground was the perfect location for both activities! Our Sprint hotspot didn’t work well (unboosted), but our Verizon did. The water hookups weren’t working at the time, but we were able to connect in Cherry Loop and fill our tank. The campground was really nice and really empty in November when we were there. In the summer I bet this place is packed. We would love to visit again in peak season! We also really enjoyed nearby Falls City Pub.

Use the Chalk Hill-Ohiopyle road out of the town of Chalk Hill if you are pulling a trailer. The campground is at the top of a very large hill. Others have said the sites were level, but ours was definitely not, sloping well to the back. Also, as others have said, we could notg find water to fill our tank and had to use our 6 gallon jug to do so from the bathroom spigot. We were here on a very quiet day and the only noise at night were the distant trains, which was nice. Cell service was good. Bathrooms were old but clean,

Good location, but lots of crazy steep hills to get here. Site is quiet, but the sound of trains is pretty steady. $$ a bit much for just water and electric.

We also used this location as a base camp to travel some 50+ miles to go visit The Flight 93 National Memorial over in Shanksville, PA. Was well worth the trip to go see!
If you are into whitewater rafting this is the area for you. There is a nice museum about the sport down in town.
There are some steep roadway grades (>10%) to access this park, so heed the warnings on ReserveAmerica on how to arrive at the campground and follow their directions.
We visited this campground from 04/18/19 to 04/22/19.

Spent one night here in early September on a Monday night and we seemed to be the only ones there. We had a tent campsite with plenty of room to spread but only decent privacy from other campsites around. Bathrooms and showers were a bit outdated but does the job. Long but very well maintained road to reach the campsite area.
